As far as business class lounges go, Cathay Pacific’s The Deck lounge in Hong Kong is among the nicest I’ve seen.
Cathay Pacific’s latest business class lounge in Hong Kong feels a bit like The Pier, with a noodle bar like The Wing. The furniture is comfortable and color scheme warm. There are potted plants and natural light. It’s not that there are any especially over-the-top amenities. Instead, the lounge is just tranquil and checks all the boxes. You can rest comfortably, sit comfortably, shower, eat, and drink.
As you enter the lounge, turn left for the food and drink. The buffet includes a number of salads (lettuce, grain, fruit), cold cuts and cheese, sandwiches, and hot dishes. No barista to made coffee, if you keep walking back you can order noodles.
Fancy a drink? Beverage carts with flavored water and snacks are strategically positioned around the lounge.
Around the noodle bar you’ll find plenty of seating, both booths and tables:
The patio area overlooks the gate area below.
Restrooms and showers are available. All showers were occupied during my visit, so no pictures of that, but the bathroom was sparkling clean.
Finally, there’s a relaxation room that can be used to nap before or between flights. It had several people in it, so I avoided taking pictures.
Access is available to oneworld business class passengers and those holding oneworld sapphire or emerald status. The lounge is located near Gate 6 in Terminal 1 and open daily from 5:30 AM–12:30 AM.
