Update: Offer expired.
Per Ben, sign up for the American Express Platinum Card and receive 100,000 Membership Rewards points when you spend $3,000 in three months.
UPDATE: Noon ET — deal is dead. Congrats to all got in on it.
Most American Express sign-up offers are only for 25,000 miles after spending $2,000, so this is an exceptionally good offer via creditcards.com. 100K AMEX points can you get far–a business class r/t to Europe through Aeroplan (Star Alliance), Flying Blue or Delta SkyMiles (Sky Team), or British Airways Executive Club (oneworld). Plus travel on Singapore Airlines and a number of other airline and hotel partners.
The annual fee on the card is $450. But you get a lot in return–
- $200 airline fee credit per calendar year (so there is $400 right there, even if you cancel the card in one year)
- Lounge access with:
- Delta
- Priority Pass
- Global Entry fee waiver
- Access to the American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts program
In short, this card is a tremendous deal and if your credit will bear it, this is a great card to add to your wallet.
The only American Express card I’ve ever owned is my Delta AMEX card, which quite frankly I haven’t used in three years. But I jumped on this offer and was isntantly approved–
I have a feeling this offer will be gone by the end of the day today.
