I may be in Frankfurt for the time being, but LAX will always be my “home” airport. Earlier today, a colleague e-mailed me the video below and I was so enamored by it I felt the need to share it with all of you.
All of my flight training has been on the East Coast, so despite hundreds of flights into LAX, I have never seen a landing from the view of a pilot. I particuarly like the way this video is in fast-motion, but those who prefer real-time video can find dozens of similar clips on YouTube.
I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. The four minutes went by in a flash!
Love it! Thanks for posting. I wish I had done this during my 75,000 miles flying in United’s cockpits in 1993!
Wow, this was great. I hope those passengers had their seat belts on all the way through the approach and taxi to the gate, which apparently occurred at death-defying speeds…
Great video! I miss the days of pilots allowing pax to take the jump-seat!
You can tell it was made in iMovie 🙂
