Review: Miracle Lounge Bangkok (BKK)

While Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) actually has nine Miracle Lounges throughout its terminals, this review will give you a good sense of what to expect at any of them.

These are all Priority Pass lounges and also contract with many airlines for premium class passengers. I visited the Miracle Business Class Lounge near gate D5 on level 3 of international departures.

In theory, the lounge has everything necessary for a comfortable stay. There is plenty of seating, restrooms, and showers. There’s a selection of food and drink, including a salad bar, made-to-order Thai dishes, and self-serve alcohol. Wi-Fi works and a large outdoor smoking patio is available.

In that sense, the lounge has all its bases covered. Yet the lounge feels like a hospital waiting room and the chairs are not all that comfortable. We arrived the airport at 2:00AM for a 5:00AM flight and could not wait to leave the lounge. I tired to lean back and rest in the most comfortable-looking chair in the lounge, but could not. The fruit was not sweet and coffee terrible. The bathrooms smelled like a sewer. While that is certainly nitpicking, my only point is that I would never arrive early for this lounge.

CONCLUSION

This is a 24/7 lounge and there if you need it. But if you have a Priority Pass card, head straight for the Oman Air lounge, which offers a far better experience.

Dreadful coffee, worst in the world. Tastes like a mouthful of undissolved instant coffee granules. You would have to be desperate to attempt a second swig.
The rest of it is just the standard crap served up in lounges throughout BKK. TG does a little better these days, but not by much.
Air France, Cathay, Emirates are my preferred and at least try to offer something a bit better

Matthew, the Air France lounge in BKK is also Priority Pass… it’s not bad, they have a pancake machine.

Funny you mention that. I passed it on the way to my gate and almost kicked myself for not trying it!

I thought the Airfrance lounge is just alright… it is quite small and the food options are not as extensive as this one.
