Denise Richard’s Astonishing Reason For Not Wearing A Mask On Airplane

American actress and fashion model Denise Richards decided to post a maskless selfie onboard a recent flight. That’s common enough. But the way she justified not wearing a mask on an airplane…astonishing.

Model Citizen: Denise Richards Offers A Novel Reason For Avoiding Masks On Airplane

The 50-year-old actress posted the picture on Instagram with the caption:

“Anyone that is upset I [am] not wearing a mask I’m hiding under a hoody [and] a huge winter coat.”

The post costs a backlash of outrage on social media, with many condemning the actress for her cavalier attitude and astonishing justification for not wearing a mask.

To be clear, putting a hoody and winter coat around you face (not over it) does not protect against COVID-19 unless Richards is privied to scientific studies the rest of us have never read.

Running damage control on behalf of Richards, several unnamed friends later told People Magazine that the actress takes masking very seriously and regrets her “joke” on the airplane.

“Denise realized it wasn’t the right thing to do to post the picture. In reality, she wore her mask the entire time except when she was taking sips of water. She believes in masks, and she really does follow the rules.”

Clearly…

Another friends said:

“Denise is not one of those people who is anti-masks. The way she handled it was strange, posting the photo. She’s ready to admit she was an idiot to post the photo!”

I happen to think it is okay to remove masks briefly to take pictures on airplanes, but boating about having greater protection with wearing a winter coat is a bit odd, if not the sort of thing anti-mask zealots might try to argue to justify not covering up onboard.

CONCLUSION

Masking often crosses into virtual signaling and Denise Richards has a host of other pictures on Instagram to demonstrate what a “model” citizen she is. Here, however, the problem was not so much lowering her mask to take a picture, but trying to justify it on the absurdest of grounds. If that was meant to be a joke, Richards should stick to modeling…

I have flown united and Qatar during the pandemic. Everyone gets their food at the same time, everyone takes off their masks at the same time and everyone eats at the same time.

The maskers need to come up with a convincing explanation why it’s ok to take off masks for everyone at the same time while eating food and it becomes dangerous for just one person to take it off later for a brief moment.

Social media outrage is less about upholding rules and more about not letting anyone of the hook while everyone has to follow them. Wish we showed the same zeal in curbing illegal immigration, covid fraud, govt. Corruption.

I could not agree more. It is just a theater, a total joke. Just flew on a 10 hour international flight yesterday. Almost 300 people all eating maskless at the same time. Maybe Brandon has an agreement with Covid so it doesn’t infected people during that time.

If it really were a joke, I guess I could see it as satire of science deniers, but the execution was pretty poor.

That’s not the only thing Denise Richards has done to her body with bad judgment. She chose a size that is too large and makes it obvious that she has implants. (not a secret as she’s said she has them and had them replaced twice)

The funny thing is, she’s absolutely right. A cloth mask will do no more, and no less than wearing a heavy jacket in preventing the spread of covid. I don’t care whether she wears a mask or not. Time to stop this silly charade.

In Ms. Richards’ defense, no matter what she did would have caused people to get upset. That’s why Gary can be called View from the Left/Right wing simultaneously in every post he puts up, and why you, apparently, only post clickbait.

    Hi Matthew-a general comment:
Live and Let’s Fly’s proofreading prior to publication needs some serious upgrading.

    In this article alone:
    Costs/caused
    Privied/privy
    Boating/boasting

    Thanks.

“To be clear, putting a hoody and winter coat around you face (not over it) does not protect against COVID-19 unless Richards is privied to scientific studies the rest of us have never read.” Same is true for wearing cloth masks sold on Etsy. They are just for theater as the virus laughs about it.

    “Richards should stick to modeling”

I hate to say it – but she makes more sense about masks then you travel bloggers do about why we should upend society to freak out over COVID and get a “vaccine” that makes us guinea pigs

Maybe you travel bloggers should stick to traveling?

Stupid behavior from a has-been actor (and even acting is used loosely here).
