Lady Is “Confused” As To Why She Is Arrested As She Is Dragged Off Southwest Airlines Flight
The incident occurred on May 29, 2023 on a Southwest Airlines flight from New Orleans (MSY) to Houston (HOU). Prior to takeoff, a women exhibited signs of intoxication and was asked to step off the plane.
Simple enough, right? This sort of thing happens every day without making headlines.
But no, the passenger decided she was going to stay, which prompted police to be called.
Rather then empty everyone out and then forcibly remove her, this time three bald cops (sounds like the start of a joke…) wrestled her up from her seat, handcuffed her, and led her down the aisle to applause from other passengers.
During her arrest, she resisted…and repeatedly demanded that a police officer hand over her mobile phone (he was holding it). When another passenger told her she was making the situation worse for herself, she said:
“No, I literally need my phone. I paid for that.”
One of the police officers reminded her he had it, but even as she was handcuffed and led off the aircraft she continued to ask for it.
The video below was posted on TikTok. The passenger who took the video claims the woman was asked nicely to step off the plane before the situation escalated.
CONCLUSION
Inebriation and flying do not go together. We cover these stories not just because there is a broad appeal for them, but as a warning…a plea…to moderate drinking when at airports to avoid consequences that far exceed the benefits of loosening up a bit before a flight.
