I will only post flight details, particularly economy class flight deals, if I consider the value to be exceptional. This is one such case. You can fly from the USA to Singapore for as little as $328 r/t on Japan Airlines.
Via the Flight Deal, round-trip prices from the following cities (including taxes) to Singapore are as low as–
- Boston [BOS] – $418
- Chicago [ORD] – $328
- Dallas [DFW] – $418
- Los Angeles [LAX] – $328
- New York [JFK] – $328
- San Diego [SAN] – $442
- San Francisco [SFO] – $435

JAL Is Not Bad in Economy
I flew JAL on a 767-300 from Guangzhou to Tokyo last summer. I was assigned a bulkhead seat and found the flight comfortable, service wonderful, and food acceptable.
CONCLUSION
It’s a long trip, but a great deal. If you’ve never been to Singapore, now may be the perfect opportunity to go. This sure beats using miles — AA would charge 75K miles r/t plus $100 in taxes for the same flights!
Wow, thanks for this information. I’m an airline employee and we are planning a Fall 2017 or early 2018 trip with family and a friend on buddy passes – who needs that aggravation ?, ….right, no one. I don’t work for JL but even if I wanted to do a ZED ticket on them, it would cost me more than these confirmed fares. Okay, great, off to the phoning I go.
Still searching, ugh…….trying Priceline, Expedia, all of it and no success. I get the feeling this is either a crapshoot or chasing down some elusive offer that can only be “caught” by a handful of people. THIS. is why I never use or tell anyone to use Expedia, Priceline, etc. One sign of trouble, schedule change, irrops they offer no help and just fob the passenger off on the airline who in turn will tell them to contact Expedia or Priceline etc. and there goes the toss the hot potato routine.
I would like two side trips. after Singapore..one to Kuching and one to Penang.
I replied already… What’s the problem?????
