Just watch the video below. I really don’t think any additional commentary is necessary.
But although not necessary, I’ll add some anyway.
Matt Cobrink, 53-years-old, had not been away from his 88-year-old father, Malcom, in 25 years. But Matt, who has Down Syndrome, was treated to a trip to New York City to see his favorite baseball player, Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees, play. The video above captures his reaction as he was reunited with his father at LAX.
Matt’s sister Marcy told the Daily Mail:
We just want to share the love. We want to let people know that it’s really not Down Syndrome, we call it ‘Up Syndrome,’ because my brother has brought so much love into everybody’s life that he comes in contact with.
I’ve come down that same escalator so many times at LAX and joyously greeted my family: first my parents and uncle, now my wife and son. Every time I return from a trip it is a joyous homecoming to see the ones I love.
But this precious video has made me even more thankful for the loved ones around me and reminded me that they cannot be taken for granted.
CONCLUSION
On this Labor Day in the USA, take a break from your labor and let your friends and family know how much you love them.
Really enjoyed the video and the reminder to let those close to us know we care about them.
If you’re a father and you don’t mist up at that, you’re thinking about being a dad all wrong.
SON, THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS TOUCHING VIDEO.
