I am on my way down to South America for a week of travel including Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, Mendoza, Argentina, and Santiago, Chile.
I will provide updates when possible, but my posts may be a bit sporadic over the next seven days, depending on the availability of internet access.
The trip will include longhaul service on TAM and shorthaul service on TAM and Aero Sur, a Bolivian carrier that still operates 727s.
It has been a hot week in Frankfurt, so I look forward to journeying south where spring is still a month away!
Not really on topic but…how do you get all this vacation time?
Do you work part-time for Star (I think that’s where you are right?)
Do you work extra hours and just bank the time for future use?
What’s the secret and how do I get in on the action 🙂
@Stewart: One word–Europe.
And I´ve still got vacation left. Stay tuned for Switzerland, Iceland, Armenia, Georgia, and perhpas even the Balkans.
I do work full-time. In fact, I typically put in 55-60 hours each week. I just don´t sleep very much.
I also aspire to attain the Live and Let’s Fly lifestyle (except for the part about working 55-60 hours a week and not sleeping).
Safe travels Matthew. Hopefully, unlike TACA, TAM will permit upgrades without making you sign up for their frequent flyer program, allow you to walk outside the airport for fresh air during long layovers and not scold you for taking pictures of the cabin.
