A woman onboard an Air China flight from Beijing to Chengdu fainted, causing the captain to turn the plane around. But when she awoke moments later, she demanded the plane continue to Chengdu…blaming her fainting spell on “possession”.
Air China Flight 4102 departed for Chengdu on-time at 11:05a. 20 minutes into the flight, the woman, in her 50s, fainted, prompting fellow passengers to immediately alert FAs. The captain opted to return the flight back to Beijing.
Upon checking her pulse, oxygen was administered to the woman and she soon woke up. But instead of expressing gratitude, the woman began yelling at FAs.
“No! Don’t touch me! Don’t pull me!”
FAs and a trio of other passengers onboard, one a doctor, tried to calm the woman.
But when she learned the plane was returning to Beijing, she became more agitated.
“I have to be in Chengdu. There are things possessing my body and you cannot find it by health checks.”
Upon landing in Beijing, she reportedly refused medical treatment.
When asked about the incident, Air China diplomatically stated the passenger “experienced sudden illness” but left it at that.
CONCLUSION
I once encountered a passenger like that…it’s a sad thing. Hopefully she receives the help she needs.
