I spent the night in Air Serbia’s 24/7 Premium Lounge in Belgrade (BEG), allowing for plenty of time to explore it. It’s a great lounge with many first class elements.
After a rough opening act, I settled down to spend several hours working.
Air Serbia Premium Business Lounge Service
Service was a highpoint in the lounge – very personal, especially by the overnight shift. I had five cappuccinos during my visit and each one was very beautifully made by a barista.
Everyone was very kind and once they were aware I just wanted to work and was not trying to scam a free hotel from them, it felt like they took extra special care of me.
Interestingly, although I was often checked on and offered drinks, used cups and glasses were not collected and mounted up.
There are no boarding announcements or escorts to the plane, but the airport is small enough so that it really isn’t needed.
Air Serbia Premium Business Lounge Seating
The lounge is divided into two main areas: a dining room and living room. The living room portion features bright red shag carpets, blue leather chairs, and yellow pillows. There are a lot of TVs, which I find to be a nuisance, but the volume is low enough that it is only a minor annoyance. Universal power outlets are located all over, so powering your device should not be an issue. Wi-Fi was extremely fast.
Air Serbia Premium Business Lounge Dining
The dining area features a bar, buffet, and sitting area.
The buffet concludes at 9pm—I should have snapped pictures earlier, but here’s a look at what was left at final call:
I had a light snack of a stuffed zucchini and green salad.
An a la carte menu is also available for lunch and dinner each day until midnight. I sat down for dinner around 11:30p and enjoyed a multi-course treat including gazpacho soup, grilled chicken with polenta, French fries, and finally opera cake for dessert with chocolate truffles. Having missed the rose wine on the LHR-BEG flight, I enjoyed a delicious Serbian Rose with dinner.
Morning service if buffet only. I enjoyed a breakfast of scrambled eggs with sausage, potatoes, and mushroom along with a slice of plum cake!
Air Serbia Premium Business Lounge Showers
The men’s restroom has a single shower suite (assuming the female restroom is similar). I did take a shower prior to my flight and found the pressure/temperature perfectly fine.
In a nod to investor-partner Etihad, a prayer room is also available to all faiths and specifically tailored to Muslims (wudu tap).
CONCLUSION
Despite the rough start, I enjoyed the time in the lounge and highly recommended you give yourself a few hours there for a nice meal and cup of coffee. Spending the night, I can personally attest, is also quite pleasant…
So… the blanket and pillow offered, are they good?
“Female restaurant” = “female restroom” perhaps?
Correct. Fixed! Thanks.
Are they open 24/7?
Yes, 24/7.
Still open 24/7 in 2019. Air Serbia-Homepage doesn’t say so today.
And is one allowed to get to the lounge at nights when flight is around 7 in the next morning? I mean if you are not already on airside but arrive from the City.
Thanks for helping 🙂
Glad to read you enjoyed one of my favorite comfort foods: Lebanese koosa.
Can you get in with your AMEX corporate card?
No.
