The Travel Begins…

Matthew Klint Posted onJanuary 29, 2011 2 Comments

The last two weeks have been quite abnormal for me: I have stayed put in one city. While it has been nice getting acquainted with Frankfurt, I have been itching to start traveling again. Today, the travel has begun.

I write this from the Westin Grand in Berlin tonight after a rather grueling 500km drive from Frankfurt this evening in sub-zero weather. Next time, I will pay up to fly or take ICE. With the high cost of fuel, my bright idea to rent a tiny car from Hertz may not end up saving any money. Berlin, with its rich history and culture, is my favorite city in Europe and I always look forward to time spent here.

The travel will continue next weekend when I journey to Budapest with some of my colleagues in the office. Other trips are also in the works.

After finally getting settled in Frankfurt, I am ready to travel. Germany, Europe, and the world awaits!

    Good stuff!

Are there any countries in Europe that you haven’t been to?

@Marcus, with the exception of Poland and the Czech Republic, Eastern Europe remains unexplored!
