American Airlines Pilot Observes Missile-Like UFO Over New Mexico

A military aviation blog has shared of an encounter between an American Airlines A320 and a UFO over New Mexico on Sunday.

American Airlines Pilots Observes UFO Over New Mexico

American Airlines Flight 2292, traveling from Cincinnati (CVG) to Phoenix (PHX), encountered the object flying west of Clayton, New Mexico, in the northeast corner of the state. The Airbus A320 was traveling at 37,000 feet when pilots suddenly encountered a fast-moving “long cylindrical object that almost looked like a cruise missile.”

Purported Air Traffic Control recordings reveal the following report from the AA pilot:

“Do you have any targets up here?  We just had something go right over the top of us – I hate to say this but it looked like a long cylindrical object that almost looked like a cruise missile type of thing – moving really fast right over the top of us.”

Here’s the audio itself if you are interested:

American Airlines told View from the Wing:

“At this time, we do not have any indication the radio transmission was from the flight crew on board American Airlines Flight 2292.”

The news report above, from a local ABC affiliate, notes that the FAA will conduct a report. However, the FAA also did not respond to my request for comment.

CONCLUSION

I’m not so much concerned about “aliens” as much as pinpointing the source of that “long cylindrical object that almost looked like a cruise missile.” Stateside, the military generally takes Sundays off and has protocols for closing air space when missile tests take place. It is possible this whole thing is a sham, but I see little motive for Steve Douglass, the blogger, making this story up.

Note: The image at the top of the story is merely a potential representation of the incident I created. I realize the landing wheels are down; I work with the tools and images I have…

Drake’s Equation suggests that they are out there somewhere. But I wouldn’t fly across the Pacific to interview a sandworm on an Australian beach. Perhaps when we’ve evolved a bit. Which, given current events, may be a while.
