If I could describe my SAS flight from Los Angeles to Stockholm in one picture, it would be this–
My flight simply could not have been better.
To be honest, I had some trepedation stepping onboard. Last time I flew SAS longhaul I had a nasty seatmate and Lucky flew SAS on the same route just last month and reported surly service. But all fears were misplaced and the flight was great.
The new lie-flat business class seat is wonderful:
The food was exceptional:
I loved the “kitchen”:
But it was really the crew that made a great flight actually one of the best I have ever taken. Each member of the crew was warm, kind, friendly, and professional, a combination that seems difficult to pull off considering how many subpar flights I have had lately on other airlines.
A full report on the flight is coming, but I am still on a high from it as I sit in the SAS lounge here in Stockholm. In case you are wondering, I certainly did not tell SAS or my particular crew that I was reviewing the flight until we spoke after landing, which is when I asked and was happily obliged to take the first photo above.
Will be flying BC to ARN from LAX 1st week November to pickup my 2017 Volvo. My partner decided to upgrade seats to BC. Excited and your review made him decide to upgrade. We did a similar trip 25 years ago when I bought a Saab. Also flew to Stockholm (no nonstop) then on to Gothenburg. A birthday gift to myself and for my retirement (35 year) as a Flight Attendant with Delta Air Lines. I was so pleased that you recognized the cabin crew. As you know a friendly crew can make or break a trip. Thank you and I appreciate your input regarding your experience…
