Marrakesh, Morroco is an enchanting city with coffee options virtually everywhere the eye can see. But for the discerning coffee drinker, I found a place that you must try.
Best Coffee In Marrakesh, Morroco
Typically, when you stay at a fancy hotel, you can count on good coffee. Unfortunately, the espresso at the Park Hyatt Marrakesh left much to be desired (it appears the resort has an exclusive deal with Nespresso, which will do in a pinch but is not my favorite coffee). However, the French press coffee was much better and deserves an honorable mention for great coffee during my stay in Marrakesh.
In a way, though, that was a blessing. Rather than just drink coffee from the hotel, I was incentivized to branch out and look for great coffee….and I found it at a cool place called Thirty5ive.

From the outside, the plants formed a green wall to an outdoor seating area, offering some tranquility in a city that always seems to be bustling. Two very frinedly dogs greeted me.
Inside, the dark, minimalist design was quite inviting. It was very hot at around 6:00 pm and the coffee shop was empty. When I saw pour-over stations and the La Marzocco machine, I knew I was in the right place.

I enjoyed a cortado for 3o dhm (about 3.24 USD)…that’s on the high side for Morocco, but here the espresso was excellent.

Baked goods are available and there is more seating available upstairs.
Since my last visit, the coffee shop is now a “laptop-free zone.” Instead, guests are advised to “please enjoy coffee, music, art, good conversation, and more.”
I kind of like that…
If you enjoy good coffee, be sure to hit up Thirty5ive. And of course, if you have any other coffee recommendations in Marrakesh, please leave them below.
This is part of my Return To Morocco trip report.
I thought I was reading the wrong blog. Matt walked into a café guarded by 2 dogs. What were their names and did you pet them?
They were very sweet and I did pet them.
I love dogs. I dislike people who bring fake service dogs on airplanes.
It’s hard to find bad coffee in Morocco outside of Western hotels or SBux.
Bloom coffee is more of a wholesale coffee seller, but they do have a small retail space where you can get what I think is the best coffee in Marrakech. It’s roasted right there in Hay Al Massar neighborhood. It’s a bit of a commercial neighborhood, but it’s worth the trip for excellent fresh roasted coffee.
Thank you for this location. I love Morocco and Espresso.
Can you please tell us the significance of the ThirtyFive name, if there is one?
Darn auto-correct. I mean Thirty5ive.
There’s a great % Arabica near the Four Seasons Resort Marrakech.
