After a lovely coffee tour through town the previous day, I found one last excellent coffee at Ramón Villeda Morales International Airport in San Pedro Sulas, Honduras.
Best Coffee In San Pedro Sula Airport
After clearing security and passport control for my flight back to Los Angeles, I stumbled upon a small coffee kiosk in the gate area near gate six called Café de Honduras (or perhaps IHCAFE?).
The menu was very simple:
And based upon that very simple menu I had a very good idea the coffee would be good. At a “real” coffee shop, there are no small, medium, and large-sized drinks. Cappuccinos, espressos, lattes, and machiatos are served with specific proportions in specific cups (like a cocktail). Sure, you can have a double or triple, but better to have it one portion at at time than all mixed together.
The coffee was excellent as predicted.
How good was it? So good I had a second one.
The lady spoke no English, but ordering coffee in Spanish is easy enough.
I took a peek in the lounge and saw that the only coffee was in a pot, so this was a far better stop than in the lounge.
I’ve now found excellent coffee at Bogota Airport, San Salvador Airport, and now here. The coffee culture in Latin America is superb.
