A bloody passenger was finally subdued after grabbing a Delta Air Lines flight attendant, holding a shard of broken glass against her neck, and threatening to kill her if anyone came close.
Bloody Incident On Delta Air Lines Flight To New Orleans
The incident occurred on Delta Air Lines flight 2432 from Atlanta (ATL) to New Orleans (MSY) last night, August 2, 2023.
A 31-year-old man named Nelson Montgomery somehow cut his neck and was bleeding profusely on the flight. Medical attention was called for.
But in an odd turn of events, Montgomery rose, grabbed a flight attendant firmly, then brandished a shard of glass before placing it against the neck of the flight attendant. He them threatened to to cut off her head if anyone came close.
The standoff continued before a group of eight passengers was able to subdue him, holding him tight until the plane landed in New Orleans. There, law enforcement met the aircraft and arrested him.
Fox 8 New Orleans, which first broke the story, reports:
Deputies say he is currently receiving medical treatment for his injuries and will be booked with aggravated battery, disturbing the peace and simple battery. The flight attendant involved in the incident suffered minor injuries, with deputies reporting two cuts that were treated at the scene.
There is no video that has appeared…yet.
A Delta spokesperson did not elaborate, instead offering a vague statement about a “customer issue” onboard:
“Delta flight 2432 operating from Atlanta to New Orleans was met by law enforcement personnel upon landing following a reported customer issue onboard. Delta has zero tolerance for unruly behavior on our aircraft and in our airports. Nothing is more important than the safety and security of our people and our customers.”
We will update this story as more facts emerge.
It was Billy Bob after he spotted a Trump 2024 pin on her uniform.
I heard it was Tim Dunn
Note – it obviously was not Tim Dunn or Billy Bon – hopefully the sarcasm is not lost here
Haha yeah, it’s all jokes. But I imagine Tim Dunn would be proselytizing his seatmate about DL’s record revenues or something
Can’t be that guy. Full time internet Biden defenders don’t have time for actual travel.
Sorry I didn’t respond sooner, I was busy traveling and working today. Hope your boss didn’t fire you for leaving the drive-thru window unmanned to post that
I doubt that. You most likely spent the day with your probation officer renewing your sex offender registration.
OK pal. Now get back to worshipping another grown man
None of us want to hear about your fetishes.
Nah, only a cuckold like you would wear another man’s name on their body
Umm… how is this not an attempted murder and kidnapping charges at the very least? He literally threatened to kill her. And held her against her will with threat to go through with killing her jf anyone intervened. What am I missing here?
+1 …Stiffer penalties to deter others from this stupidity
No it doesn’t.
The death penalty or life is prison does.
@Matthew, wow, what a scary situation, but I think you meant “shard” instead of “chard.” The latter is a plant/vegetable.
So was he suicidal? Did he cut himself on purpose first?
On its way to New Orleans….crime capital of the south.
That should explain everything!!
The problem is the following: there appears to be different and varying degrees of penalties for these incidents, depending upon which federal jurisdiction is handling the case, and which U.S. Attorney it is assigned to. It appears that in very rare cases, is the book thrown at these violent offenders. However, the commercial airlines are also to blame. They don’t always impose a lifetime ban on these offenders, even after they’ve been convicted. Worse, is that the other airlines refuse to impose a lifetime ban on a passenger, who has engaged in violent conduct on another airline. The only way this nonsense is going to end, is that there has to be a uniform policy among all of the American commercial airline companies. If you receive a lifetime ban from one airline, for violence onboard a commercial flight, then that ban should apply to every other commercial airline in the USA. The international airline companies should have a similar policy.
