6:45 PM ET UPDATE: Miraculously, no passengers perished in this crash, though 18 passengers were injured. A Delta Air Lines spokesperson tells Live And Let’s Fly:

“Initial reports indicate there are no fatalities and 18 customers with injuries have been transported to area hospitals. Our primary focus is taking care of those impacted.”

76 passengers and four crew members were onboard the flight; all safely evacuated. The specific cause of the crash is not yet known, though conditions were poor with high winds and accumulated snow on the ground.

Delta has cancelled its remaining flights to Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) for the remainder of the day. After a brief closure, YYZ resumed operations at 5:00 pm ET.

The US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will work with Transportation Safety Board of Canada to investigate the crash and has already dispatched a team to YYZ.

Amazing CNN & Fox aren’t covering this. Too busy on one side looking for sympathy for those losing their overpaid jobs and the other working to make people angrier about the fraud they are finding.

I guess no one dying isn’t newsworthy. Sad!

Too hasty to make such accusations just a few minutes into a breaking story. Both CNN and Fox News have articles now.

You mean the fraud that they think they are finding because Elon doesn’t know how to read code so he thinks what he is seeing is people up to 150 years old still on the social security rolls, when in fact it is a coding language he knows nothing about.

In fact the only thing he does seem to know much about is how to have over a dozen children while still being a virgin.

Also, glad these people are ok.

@BillyBob … Oh , Musk is finding hanky-panky for sure . People were side-tracked with the red herrings of gender-mutilation , climate catastrophe , and DEI , whilst the rascals were looting the money for benefit of the rascal’s own non-government-organizations . Brandon pardoning numerous members of his family tells us something , as does illiterate Camel-a’s billion dollar campaign .

Yea, now the looting is going right into elons bank account. $400M for armored teslas? Yea, no conflict of interest there. I guess he’s gotta find some way to make up for teslas tanking sales.

Trump pardoned his son in laws dad, so what?

Canada is an idiot for not shoveling snow and letting the plane flip over. Canada is a hateful country, hating America, when it is them that rip each other off by charging each other high prices for consumer goods and services.

Canada bans the sale of a house to Americans but nothing is done in retaliation. If you already have a house and do not rent it out, Canada will tax Americans yearly. Canada is a stupid country and a half dictatorship. They worry about TheDonald but fail to see the dictator that they have. America should seize the houses of Canadian snowbirds in Florida.

Most of them in Dunedin (home of the Blue Jays) that visit drive sh#tty old RV’s down that I’m not sure how they make the drive. Or get rentals and hotel rooms.

Don’t get me wrong, we appreciate their money but most don’t own property down here and are bad tippers as well.

Get outside and touch grass or something man… you’re on a points and miles blog railing about Canadian property tax laws after a plane crash. Is that really how you wanna live your life?

Maybe when you have a housing crunch, you take care of your own people first. There are plenty of Americans that hate America right now, as it slides quickly into an authoritarian state with an impotent Congress that sits idly by and does nothing. Canada is far better run than the crapshow we have here at home.

The “impotent congress” you reference was busy during the past four years ignoring the looting of the treasury .

Donald , Musk , and Vance are saying and doing what needs to be said and done .

The impotent Congress now is busy trying to keep their heads down. Heaven forbid an oppositional opinion. The lies and threats must be ignored to survive.

What a bummer. DL4949 YYZ-MSP 6:30 am departure was cancelled. Some passengers may have been rebooked on DL4952 YYZ-MSP 245 pm departure. That flight is cancelled because the incoming plane is upside down with its wings snapped off. Too extensive damage to quickly tape up using duct tape.

The photos that I see show passengers without luggage. See, when there is a true emergency, passenger flee. Passengers tend to take their luggage when it is not a dire emergency.

Passengers and airlines are Complacent in the reality of Nature . Gravity , Ice , and Poor Judgement add up to everyone Trusting in Luck . No thanks . Postpone the flight for when they receive a Better Fortune Cookie . I prefer to make my decisions based on my Fortune Cookie .

I understand it’s your site and you report on what you care about but am kind of amazed you never said anything about Bering Air and talk about this. I guess my priorities would be different.

Having said all this my hat is still off to you.

Oh dear, another US aviation accident just as Criminal Trump cuts FAA staff numbers.

Never mind, you’re nearly down to three years and eleven months until you can have a sane president again.
