When Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer loosened the informal dress code on the Senate Floor, I don’t think he had naked in mind (leave that to Majorie Taylor Green and her hearings on Hunter Biden). Even so, I could not help but to laugh about the man who was caught on video trudging through Dallas Fort Worth International Airport in his birthday suit who looked suspiciously like the junior Senator from Pennsylvania, John Fetterman.
Fetterman Doppelgänger Walks Though DFW Without Clothes
Fetterman has a style of his own when it comes to wardrobe. He beat a strange doctor in the 2022 Senate race by showing up brandishing his “outsider” credentials in part by wearing hoodies and dungarees instead of a suit and tie. When he prevailed, he showed up at the US Senate wearing a suit and we thought those halcyon days of athleticwear were over.
But then he nearly stroked out and told the Schumer, “I aint putting on no suit again.” So Schumer did the natural thing and said, “No problem” and now the Sergeant at Arms no longer enforces a dress code that was never even official in the first place.
Now, to Dallas, where a doppelgänger of Senator Fetterman was sighted walking around stark naked, waving to onlookers who stopped to capture the curious spectacle on their mobile phones (video in the link above).
Truth be told, Fetterman was not in Dallas. Instead, it was one of his body doubles who doing advance work ahead of a possible collaboration with Beto O’Rouke, a Democrat who is running for Governor in Texas and has also been accused of waking around with his clothes off.
Or something like that…
Big thanks to my body double, Sen. Guy Incognito, for taking hallway questions for me. https://t.co/oI10k96Whd pic.twitter.com/hqdnEKUznj

Multiple witnesses wearing red hats say the Senator left his clothes in the Delta Sky Club near gate A6, but the lines were too long outside for him to go back in to retrieve them so he decided to fly home without clothes.
Hey folks, this is just a lighthearted post. Relax. I like politics so when I can work it into a story tangential to travel, I am going to. It’s parody. As for the naked dude at DFW, I do wonder what was going through his mind. Did he miss his flight to a nude cruise?
(H/T: View From The Wing)
And looks no more ridiculous and braindead than the real one
And the real one got more votes than Oprah’s BFF Mehmet.
Lol yeah and look at the result.
The result is that Mehmet is back in New Jersey practicing quackery and pairing crudités with tequila.
And Pennsylvania has a Senator totally unfit to represent it who looks like fat slob and says brilliant things like this:
“My message to the, the CEOs, CEOs is, you know, it’s $74 million, you know, collectively earning that, you know, how many yachts can they need, you know, to yacht, to water, uh, ski behind it, you know, I mean, it’s crazy.”
Shows you how pathetic the voters of PA are that they would choose a guy that looks like a heroin addict over an accomplished heart surgeon. But given that it’s PA a heroin addict is probably a plus for them.
Never judge a book by it’s cover.
At least Sen. Incognito wasn’t walking around DFW in a tan suit. That would be a real travesty.
What a weird article.
Your superb travel writing is often mired by the petty articles about insane passengers or in, this case, a senator who nearly “stroked outed”
I wonder if you’re simplistic enough to miss maintaining a high-quality blog for low-quality posts thatdrum up raucous comments and – presumably – more ad click revenue.
Morgan. I agree 100%. This is probably the most offensive and tasteless blog post I’ve ever read on this site. Matthew … what were you thinking? Fetterman is a very intelligent man – albeit quirky – who suffered a major stroke, fought bravely to recover in a sea of horrible memes and MAGA comments, and who is now being brutally honest about his bout with depression and wanting to educate the public; see a fascinating interview with Chris Hayes recently. I get click bait but not at the expense of somebody who is showing great courage and strength in the face of adversity. Your closing …. “Hey folks, this is just a lighthearted post. Relax” … doesn’t cut it !!
I agree. This post turned me off.
I like the shit talking. I’m here for it.
What is that saying about not discussing at thanksgiving religion and politics?
Only commenting about the hurtful remarks. I totally understand the Senator’s health concerns and his dress is a reasonable accommodation.
Let’s talk about child care cost instead
Or Jet Blue Spirit & DOJ is you want political comment
But be nice
This junkie flew a weed flag from his office in the governor’s mansion in PA. He refused to remove it even after his boss, the Governor signed a law banning it. He has no respect for laws and certainly not common decency.
Let’s see how long the new dress code lasts when a brave Senator decides to wear a “Let’s Go Brandon” shirt in the Senate chamber.
Fetterman is an embarrassment as a representative of his constituents, no different than Boebert giving handjobs on a first date in a theater.
@ Dave
They are all embarrassing at this point. Had Boebert had a fake double out there I am sure that would have been one of the attempted excuses. I must say it also was one of the most laughable clips I’ve seen from a Representative grandma!
It’s all sad anymore.
He does not have an office in the governor’s mansion.
Hey folks, I think you all need to lighten up a little bit.
I don’t have anything against Fetterman nor does this little comedic sketch downplay any good work that he does toward raising awareness over depression or any other issue in which he is fighting the good fight.
Can we not just have a little laugh once in awhile in the spirit of goodwill?
I poke fun of Trump and the MAGA-ts pounce on me. I poke fun at a Democrat and I get attacked by the other side.
I’m with Bill Maher…we need more laughing.
There’s nothing funny about this post, it just comes across as both malicious and petty.
This hearkens back to your post about the “Apartheid in the lounge” – and your thick replies in the subsequent comments.
If you’re doing this for the comments & clicks, know it’s a letdown as a reader to see this content pull at your best work.
But if you and the ones you admire and want to entertain sit around and chuckle at this, then… I’ll assume it’s going to happen again, and that’s a bummer.
You can unclutch your pearls now, Karen.
There’s absolutely nothing malicious about this post (well maybe toward MTG and Oz). “Petty” to some is humor to others. The problem with the apartheid post was that I fundamentally misunderstood the term, thinking it simply meant separation rather than a word strictly for racial separation and strictly in South Africa.
Maybe this blog isn’t for you and guess what, you don’t have to read it, No one is forcing you to be here. I don’t know if you are really a troll just trying to stir thing up, or if you are just really immature, but if you find it so offensive here, why do you bother? We aren’t always going to agree on everything, and we all have a different sense of humor. I found this funny w/out actually believing he was bashing the Senator out of malice … just like many of the comments made about Trump. When you are a public figure, it comes with the territory. Just like a lot of the jokes about Dan Crenshaw. Isn’t it exhausting being so upset all the time?
As with Bill Mhaer, punching down isn’t always funny.
Keep being spicy my dude, don’t listen to these softies.
Also, what was the big Polaris news that was supposed to drop? My google-fu apparently sucks and I want competition to really put DL in a bind
Matthew: I wonder if you think this loon’s antics would be funny if you had been walking past him at DFW with your young children?
I don’t think his antics were all that funny. Pretty deranged, especially if he was some sort of exhibitionist. I thought was funny is that the guy looked like a US Senator and it seemed (to me at least) to tie in so nicely to all the brouhaha about his choice of wardrobe by Republicans and the recent change by Schumer to liberalize what a Senator can wear when conducting floor business.
I have yet to read a disparaging comment towards Democrats from you, humorously or otherwise. I think of you as a California democrat that doesn’t/won’t make a negative comment towards the majority of his comrades. If you truly want “more laughing” stop the political jabs. BTW, Fetterman is an idiot, from a Democrat for 43 years.
If you support democrats you are a stupid person.
Ok ok ok, so Fetterman does not “clean up” all that well…but here in PA I’ll take him amyday over Dr. Oz! The doc was looking for any easy win and figured he could get it in PA using his MILs address. Go back to Jersey, go back to Oprah, go back anywhere. S**t, I would even take (a naked) Homer Simpson before Dr. Oz! Fetterman may not wear a suit but there are definitely other US Senators that are more radical and dangerous that we should worry about. A suit doesn’t make the man (or woman, or US Senator). Yes, it was definitely a weird article but the title certainly grabbed my attention.
