Man Freaks Out After Seeing Three “Ghosts” On Airplane

It seems it is not only our friend from Texas who saw a ghost on a plane. One man in Russia saw three of them, prompting a freakout and forcing a flight delay.

Freakout Causes Flight Delay: Man Sees Three “Ghosts” Of Wagner Mercenaries

The incident occurred in Russia on an S7 flight from Novosibirsk (OVB) to St. Petersburg (LED). A man who has only been identified as “Vitaly” started to scream as the plane taxied for takeoff:

“Stop. Stop the take-off. I’m not kidding. Stop the takeoff. Do it fast. Stop the take-off quickly. Do it fast. I can see. Stop. Stop the take-off. Make a stop.”

Vitaly went on to explain that these were not vague forms in white sheets, but “three ghosts of Wagner mercenaries who were watching him.”

Flight attendants tried to calm him down, but were unable to, forcing the aircraft to return to the gate so that the man could be removed.

A flight of a Russian S7 airline from Novosibirsk to St Petersburg was delayed for three hours because one of the passengers “saw” three ghosts of Wagner mercenaries who were watching him, according to the man.

It’s a tad ironic that it was Wagner Group mercenaries that the man saw: I wonder if we’ll see Yevgeny Prigozhin sightings on Aeroflot or S7 in the days ahead.

I’m not a doctor, but this sounds like a case of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) to me. The horrors of war and death can manifest themselves in unpleasant ways, including in hallucinations of the deceased. Wagner mercenaries have been through a lot not only in Eastern Ukraine but in campaigns across Russia’s sphere of influence in Central Asia and Africa. It’s not far-fetched to think this is a fellow mercenary who has lived out conflict.

CONCLUSION

Ghosts on airplanes are apparently a thing on both sides of the Atlantic. This time, though, it seems less like drugs or alcohol were involved more like PTSD. Perhaps that’s a fair thing considering some of the atrocities the Wagner Group is accused of.
