Alaska Airlines is offering free Gogo Wi-Fi on smart phones and iPod Touches during the months of August and Spetember.
Sponsored by Visa, the promotion does not apply to laptops and tablet devices. Rates for those machines start at $4.95 and are based upon the device and how long the flight is. Internet is available throughout most of the Alaska fleet in the Lower 48.
Also keep in mind that Alaska’s new digEplayers, which you can rent for $8 on flights less than 4.5 hours and $14 on flights longer than 4.5 hours, includes Gogo Wi-Fi access. If you reserve your digEplayer in advance, you can save $2 off those prices.
