As additional witnesses come forward, Frontier Airlines is facing more questions over what exactly transpired onboard that lead to the ejection of a large Jewish family and eventually the cancellation of the flight.
Frontier Airlines Still Defends Removing Jewish Family, But Witnesses Paint A Different Picture
I first covered this story on Monday, which included multiple videos onboard suggesting a family was thrown off because their toddler son (under age two) would not wear a mask. Additional facts have now emerged:
- The Hasidic Jewish family, 22 members in all, were traveling together to New York
- 13 adults
- 9 children
- The children were between 15 months to five years old
- They were sitting in the last few rows of the plane
- Apparently, a “few” of the youngsters “briefly” took of their masks to eat
Frontier insists that members of the family, including adults, did not wear masks and refused to wear masks:
Members of a large group, including adults, refused to wear masks as flight 2878 was preparing for departure from MIA-LGA. Repeated requests to comply with federal law necessitated their removal from the flight. The issue did not stem from a child under 2.

But this assertion is directly contradicted by multiple witnesses onboard.
Even more disturbing, another passenger onboard (unrelated to the family) shared that as the family deplaned, flight attendants applauded, exchanged high fives, and one said, “A job well done to those Jews.”
You can watch his account plus another corroborating account here:
EYEWITNESS VIDEO! Multiple people say on the record in this video that as the Hasidic couple started leaving the airplane, @FlyFrontier staff applauded, exchanged high fives and one allegedly said “a job well done to those Jews.” Att @PeteButtigieg @FAANews @SenatorCantwell pic.twitter.com/m1Azjw5Hbx

As the family departed, cries of anger and charges of anti-semitism could be heard throughout the cabin. The fact that the flight was ultimately cancelled suggests that other passengers onboard sided with the family, not against them.
CONCLUSION
The witnesses above provide damning testimony against the Frontier flight attendants onboard flight 2878. Even if there were adults who were not mask compliant, the applause and high fives along with the alleged statement reflect extremely poorly on Frontier Airlines.

Absolutely disgusting from Frontier. Where’s the cancel culture? Corporate diversity initiatives at practice? Oh that’s right, this family is the wrong skin color.
Anti-Semitism can not (and must not) be tolerated. Frontier needs to apologize and to make meaningful moves to ensure that something like this doesn’t happen again.
Ghetto Airlines! Thanks for reminding me to not even consider flying these LCC’s.
This ill-trained crew created more madness and the possibility of spreading something with the chaos they created! Screaming and yelling?!
Oh yes, well done indeed. Idiots!
I have no love lost for Frontier, but I just don’t believe the passengers in this case. The reaction of those who were sitting in the front rows, who had no ability to see what was happening in the back, leads me to conclude that they jumped to conclusions about what was happening and then were looking for evidence to support their conclusion (i.e. confirmation basis).
Well, the flight attendants wanted a sh*tstorm and now they’ve got one. If I were an FA, the last thing to cross my mind would be to harass a 1 year old over a friggin mask. I really don’t understand why they absolutely have to put themselves, their companies and the other passengers through this…..actually, I do know why: They just can’t help themselves. The second best thing they’re good at besides keeping the jumpseat warm is starting fights with passengers. I’ve witnessed it many many times over the years.
1. Airplanes are 100% safe according to our government and the airlines.
2. Masks may or may not work.
3. Children may or may not (but likely don’t) spread it.
4. If you’re that worried, you shouldn’t be on an airplane to begin with.
Hey Frontier, was it worth it?
Masks work.
Retired airline employee, and what a bad day for Frontiers PR staff….IF FAs did what they are accused of,,firing them all…Customer Service staff need a little more skills,,not minimum wage contract employees,,,what a disgrace,,low fare carrier
From the video, at the very last part one of the Jewish gentlemen yells out Jew haters! I see nothing that is claimed that the FA’s did. I suggest you get all the facts before coming to conclusions. Racism, religion, ethnicity are some of the most misused reasons for a conflict situation. It is used as an excuse!
Witnesses on board say the flight attendants high fives each other and made a derogatory comment about Jews as the people were disembarking.
The video doesn’t seem to support the statements regarding FA behavior made in the text of the story. Let the relevant parties conduct their investigations and present their findings before making any conclusions.
Mathew, maybe I will play the racism card if the next time I fly I am not automatically upgraded to First Class. Give this BS a break…Mathew.
JEW haters are becoming bolder and seem to be multiplying. Scum of the earth just as the nazis were and are! Nothing uglier than a racist/bigot!
I’m not believing the crew high-five claim at all and its making me very skeptical about the remainder of the passengers claims. Can we find some non-Jewish passengers to back up the story? Otherwise, all I see is confirmation bias.
Any of you (including writer of this article) ever considered that the high five is directed to a group using whatever reasons available to prevent them from wearing mask?
Its easy and fun to direct your anger over anything including your own failure to some big corporate who you perceived has better luck than you in life in general…
Oh well… Carry on with the jokes, please…..
Despite the legal background of its writer, did we think that here or any other place on the internet would afford the accused any due process (any investigation) before declaring their guilt?
I presented both sides and Frontier refused to comment further. Not sure what else you are looking for?
