United Airlines Resumes Tel Aviv Service – July 2025

United Airlines service to Tel Aviv (TLV) from New York/Newark (EWR) will resume on July 21, 2025, with a second daily flight planned to begin July 22. Tickets for Tel Aviv flights are now bookable on United.com.

United told Live And Let’s Fly:

This resumption is in line with United’s longstanding commitment to serving Tel Aviv. Throughout 2025, United has flown to Tel Aviv more than any other U.S. airline. United service to Tel Aviv always follows a detailed assessment of operational considerations in the region and close consultation with the unions representing our flight attendants and pilots.

United will continue to serve Tel Aviv on Boeing 787-10s and also offers connections to Tel Aviv through partners, including Lufthansa Group airlines.

My original story from February 5, 2025 is below.

United Airlines will resume flights to Tel Aviv next month from its Newark hub, ramping up to double daily service by the end of March 2025.

United Airlines Resumes Tel Aviv Service – March 2025

With a ceasefire in effect with both Lebanon and Hamas in the Gaza Strip, United will resume flying from Newark (EWR) to Tel Aviv (TLV) on March 15, 2025, with a second daily flight planned to begin on March 29. The flights will be operated by Boeing 787-10 aircraft.

United says, “The resumption follows a detailed assessment of operation considerations for the region and close work with the unions who represent our flight attendants and pilots.”

As for route resumptions from other hubs, United says, “We will continue to evaluate opportunities to restore additional flights.”

Delta Air Lines will also resume service to Tel Aviv from New York (JFK) on April 1, 2025 using Airbus A330-900neo aircraft.

Israeli flag carrier El Al has conitnued to operate throughout the war.

United Airlines Resumed Tel Aviv Flights In March 2024, But Quickly Suspended The Route Again

When war broke out in October 2023 after Hamas terrorists invaded Israel and killed over 1,400 civilians, US carriers quickly suspended service to Israel. Within a day, Hamas had fired over 4,000 rockets toward Israel, with targets including Ben-Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv. While Israel’s Iron Dome System was able to repel many of the incoming rockets, the uncertainty of the situation moved carriers from around the world to suspend flights.

For a couple months, Israeli flag carrier El Al was one of the only carriers flying to and from Israel (and even operated over Sabbath during this unique time). In spring 2024, carriers inlcluding Aegean, Austrian, Lufthansa, and SWISS resumed service. United Airlines resumed service to Tel Aviv (TLV) from Newark (EWR) in March 2024.

The initial Newark – Tel Aviv flights in 2024 stopped in Munich (MUC) to “ensure all service providers are ready to support non-stop service to and from Newark.”

United conducted a detailed safety analysis in making this decision, including close work with security experts and government officials in the United States and Israel. We also worked closely with the Air Line Pilots Association and the Association of Flight Attendants to develop the protocols to ensure they are safe and well-informed.

But by May, the route had been suspended again, citing geopolitical uncertainty in the region.

United will continue to monitor the situation in Tel Aviv and adjust the schedule as warranted.

CONCLUSION

With no end in sight to the war in Gaza, United Airlines will resume service in March 2025, a year after resuming service the first time only to pull back after less than two months. This time, a second daily service will resume from Newark two weeks later, contingent upon a return in demand and eventually resume flights from other hubs.

Tickets are now bookable on United’s website.

Trump has made a ludicrous and absurd statement that the U.S. will rebuild Gaza , after moving out the Hamasians .

No one in their right mind wants the Hamasians .

They really are the dregs of the Middle East, and no country in its right mind would welcome them.

“When war broke out in October 2023 after Hamas terrorists invaded Israel and killed over 1,400 civilians, US carriers quickly suspended service to Israel.”, writes Matthew. This should be revised, if Matthew is to be objective.

First of all, I condemn Hamas. I don’t like them. They are a bunch of killers.

Second, Hamas governs Gaza so they are not terrorists. We don’t say Japanese terrorists bombed Pearl Harbor or German terrorists invaded Poland ìn 1939. Israel, specifically Netanyahu, refused to recognize Gaza’s right to exist but claims it lock, stock, and barrel.

A more objective version might be….
When war broke out in October 2023 after Hamas forces invaded Israel and killed over 1,400 civilians, US carriers quickly suspended service to Israel.

@derek … The Filipinos and Chinese were victims of Japanese terrorists . The Jewish people and Poles were victims of German terrorists . The Israelis were victims of the Gazan terrorists . The Armenians were victims of the Turkish terrorists . The Montagnards in Vietnam were victims of Viet Cong terrorists . The Cambodians were victims of Khmer Rouge terrorists . Whether they are in charge or wear uniforms , they commit terror , so are terrorists . You’re welcome to this historical information . =

Yes, there are a small minority of Israeli’s who terrorize Arabs in the area and are dealt with harshly by the Israeli police and army.
This is opposed to the Hamas and Hezbollah terrorists which are supported by the majority of the countries they reside in…

It definitely isn’t a small minority, and most of the times they aren’t puished…if anything the Israeli goverment supports, aids, and enables them.

Hamas terrorists targeted unarmed civilians, women, children and babies, kidnapping, murdering, torturing, burning, and raping on their bloodthirsty spree. That pretty much qualifies as terrorism.

Hamas and their Palestinian comrades indiscriminately slaughtered innocent Israeli civilians including 69 Thai citizens working in the kibbutz while Israel/IDF targeted Hamas terrorists launching rockets into Israel hiding in kindergarten schools, hospitals and underground tunnels. There’s no moral equivalence between the two.

Yes and the Israeli government slaughters far more civilians on the Palestinian side, in both Gaza and the West Bank.

The greatest breakdown in Israeli intelligence and security(if we are to believe that is what indeed unfolded)happened under the Netanyahu government, leading to the events of October 2023 and the subsequent ongoing hell in that region.,taking well over 50,000 civilian lives in Palestine and Lebanon, hundreds of unaligned UN aid workers,MSF Doctors without Borders lives, massive destruction,on and on.Nice goin there BB

But when will flights begin to the riviera of the middle east? To Trump tower in Gaza? Maybe the USA will send the criminals they want to send to Guantanamo Bay to Gaza instead to help with construction? So much opportunity there….this will really make America great!

Trump is just so clever and such a deal maker. What would the world do without him?

I understand this is a travel blog that has a pro-Israel stance and covers United… but man, I feel like I’m overwhelmed in every angle of the internet with news about Israel. Domestic Issues, foreign issues, flight schedules, you name it. North Carolina has a larger population and larger GDP, but I don’t think I could tell you one thing that has happened in Raleigh or Charlotte in the last year. But man, Tel Aviv, I think I know everything about it.
