Woman Booted Off Flight For Refusing To Wear Mask, Making Racial Slurs

A woman wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat was thrown off a Frontier Airlines flight for refusing to wear a mask then calling a black passenger “nigger” as he deplaned.

Mask Incident On Frontier Airlines

The incident occurred last month on a Frontier Airlines flight from Seattle to Denver. After the lady and her traveling companion (also wearing a Trump hat) refused to wear a mask, they were asked to exit the aircraft.

They refused. This forced the captain to order everyone else off the aircraft:

The two passengers who we need to remove from the airplane are refusing to do that. We can resolve this easily but at this point I have to ask everyone to leave the airplane. Take your IDs and your boarding passes. You can leave your personal belongings if you’re gonna reboard. Please do not get involved in the altercation or you will not reboard.

As passengers departed, the lady wished them a good day followed by the word “nigger” for a black passengers onboard. Her friend sat watching, eating an apple (“oh, but we don’t need a mask because we were eating!”).

Law enforcement personnel entered the aircraft and removed the women. Passengers waiting in the gate area to rebound applauded as the women left the aircraft. Frontier has subsequently banned the ladies from future travel on the airline.

CONCLUSION

The story is so outlandish that part of me thinks this was some sort of cruel satire joke. But with the election two months behind us, to what end? Whatever drove these two characters to act so poorly, I bring this news to you for two purposes.

First, unless we call out bad behavior, it will fester. I don’t think writing about these women, who I have not identified, gives them any positive notoriety. Quite the contrary, it brands them as pathetic miscreants. Second, these women should be fined severely for the infraction. Not because of the racial epithet, per se, but because their antics cost passengers time and time is money, which is not without value. Slapping heavy fines on these losers may deter others from engaging in similar practices.

Is it though? But you are right it was about downplaying the threat of measles another deadly virus despite having no medical background whatsoever.

Also as a side note calling someone you dont know “sweetheart” is incredibly misogynistic, and thats not just my opinion (https://www.doi.gov/pmb/eeo/Sexual-Harassment)…but I am sure you will find 11,780 votes – I mean ways – to justify that too.

I’m glad you got my point for “Tom”. If you identify as a female, then my sincere apologies. I only use that word to respond to comments from presumed males that annoy me.

Is there a reason why you repeatedly quote the n-word? Just because someone says it doesn’t mean that you need to quote them or that it is worth quoting. I suspect you could get the point across just as well otherwise.

Is the obligation only to call out “bad behavior”? It seems that you are suggesting that we should only do something about it when it costs someone time or money.

Financial penalties should reflect tangible cost of time lost and related expenses, like fuel for diversion. I’m not sure we can put a dollar value on racism, but we can certainly always call it out and condemn it.

I was wondering the same thing. He could have said the “n” word and we all would have known, but he continued to spell it out.

Sunlight is the best disinfectant – be it on Trump’s endless corruption, his army of grifters profiting off the Presidency, or his racist/white nationalist supporters

I guess I’m being obtuse here but I genuinely fail to see how racism is instrumental in making America great.

This healthy woman in her 20’s needed a lung transplant, the first lung transplant for Covid. In other news stories which have better photos, she’s of normal weight, not obese. She was healthy before Covid. A transplanted lung is not as good as the original lung.

Now look at the plane. It’s crowded.

The very fact that the transplant was rare made it newsworthy. Keep wetting your bed.

Ignorance is a choice, and the likes of these trumpets clearly flaunting theirs for ALL to see typifies these buffoons!
My hope is they will be banned from all commercial flights.
Let them take Greyhound. That’s where they belong.

In the future, I hope you will re-think your choice to print the “n” word. It is completely unnecessary and offensive….like people who justify using it when repeating a song lyric or a joke. You are perpetuating the use of a racial slur.

Well I was on this flight with my Apple eating friend, sitting right next to her when this happened. I didn’t condone how this went down, but I was sitting with them and what is said in this article wasn’t completely true

I have plenty of photos and videos of the pilot leaning over me trying to get my friend to exit the plane for not wearing a mask while eating an apple. By the way,in my videos the pilot himself doesn’t have HIS mask over his nose most of the time
