I’m off to Las Vegas again for my final trip on the Expedia $300 deal. After slumming it at the Golden Nugget (poor choice) and downtown Las Vegas a few weeks ago, I’ll be staying at the Wynn tonight.
Also, I’ll be flying on JetBlue today from Burbank to Las Vegas. I figured the convenience of departing from Burbank was worth more than the first class seat I would have received had I elected to fly out of LAX on United. I haven’t flown on JetBlue since the summer of 2008 (when my IAD-BUR flight was delayed over three hours), so I am hoping that there are no delays or setbacks today: I’ll only be in Vegas for 24 hours.
I anticipate that this will be my final trip to Las Vegas for the foreseeable future. I’m not a big fan of the shows or gambling and I was bored stiff during my last visit, when it was too cold to lounge by the pool or even walk around outside. Vegas can be a fun city and I’ve enjoyed it over the years, but it frankly gets old fast. Over the next 24 hours I plan to relax at the hotel and enjoy a few good meals. That’s it.
Then it’s back to California for Christmas and to prepare for my trip to Asia.
Come on Matthew, you’re too young to get bored in Vegas that fast. Sure gambling gets old, but shotgun weddings and strippers, who can get enough of that?
I think the key with Vegas is having people to go with after the first couple of times.
