Review: Hyatt Place London Heathrow Airport LHR

I arrived in London the night before the wedding and opted for an economical stay at the Hyatt Place Heathrow Airport for only 79GBP. Would the hotel be as nice as the Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport?

You can connect from Heathrow to the hotel on a complimentary basis using red busses numbered 441 or U3 (if departing from the central bus station near T1) or on bus 441 or 423 if leaving from Heathrow Terminal 5. You’ll want to return to the airport to travel into central London by public transport. The journey from airport to hotel takes only about 10 minutes.

I arrived after 3pm and was quickly checked into my room. Again, Hyatt Places in Europe tend not to be like the standard Hyatt Place hotels across the United States. Rooms are much smaller, though I did not require a big room traveling alone.

My room contained a king-sized bed, small couch, and built-in desk (against the wall).

A large closet provided plenty of storage space.

The bathroom was also very small, but contained a shower/tub combo and fairly large countertop.

A bowl of whole fruit and two bottles of water were waiting for me (Globalist amenities I was told at check-in):

A hot water kettle with coffee and tea were also in the room with an empty refrigerator:

Great Dinner Down the Road

A restaurant downstairs offers a dinner menu at relatively high prices. I recommend you head out the front door, turn right, and walk about a half mile down the road. You’ll find a little Indian hole in the wall as well as a delicious kebab house, where I enjoyed a tasty dinner for 5GBP:

Hyatt Place London Heathrow Airport Breakfast

Breakfast is included for all guests and the spread was far better than USA-based Hyatt Places. In addition to all the elements of a proper English breakfast, all sorts of breads and cereals, cold cuts, cheese, and even rice with condiments are available. Omelets can be ordered and coffee comes from a machine (and was admittedly not great).

Hyatt Place London Heathrow Airport Lobby + Market

The lobby is divided into three areas, a check-in area, bar area, and market area. The market contains pre-made sandwiches and snacks at a high price. You can also order hot food at the bar.

Hyatt Place London Heathrow Airport Fitness Room

On the basement level is a fairly comprehensive fitness studio with free weights and machines. There is no pool.

CONCLUSION

The Hyatt Place London Heathrow Airport (not to be confused with the Hyatt Place Heathrow Hayes) is convenient to LHR and quite reasonable. I recommend it as an ideal  budget option for before or after your flight.

How did you get to the airport in the morning?

easy to get an uber out there?

Stayed there a few weeks back. I opted to Uber everywhere and never waited more than 5 minutes. Fares £30 to/from the city and £5 TO Heathrow T3.

Nice hotel for a night or two. Bath Road is a nice little place to go for a quick run if the weather cooperates.
