Нет: Aeroflot Flight Diverts After “Russopithecus” Tries To Smash Window Onboard…

An Aeroflot flight diverted to Azerbaijan after a Russian man onboard became so intoxicated he attacked the crew and tried to break a window onboard.

Intoxicated Man Tries To BreakWindow On Aeroflot After Over-Consuming Alochol He Brought Onboard

The incident occurred on a flight from Dubai (DXB) to Moscow (SVO) operated by a Boeing 777-300 aircraft. The 38-year-old suspect, identified only as a Russian national, purportedly consumed too much liquor onboard (that he brought on himself) and then began yelling and screaming at passengers around him and crew members.

The situation escalated even further when he began physically attacking, prompting a group of male passengers to jump up to address him. They were successful, with the help of the crew, in applying flex cuffs to the man, but the man was able to break them.

Jumping out of his seat, he began to bang and pound on one of the windows in what appeared to be an attempt to break it.

That was enough for the captain, who diverted to Baku, Azerbaijan (GYD).

There, the man was unloaded (and arrested).

Here’s video of what occurred onboard:

The “Russopithecus” label is a rift on Mesopithecus, an extinct monkey. Other passengers onboard claimed a demon suddenly entered the man…maybe the spirit of Alexei Navalny?

The 777 remained on the ground for nearly three hours at Baku’s Heydar Aliyev International Airport, before continuing to Moscow.

For me, the way Aeroflot has been scrounging for spare parts since the Ukraine invasion makes this particular fellow the least of my worries when flying on the Russian flag carrier…

Alexei Navalny? More like field marshal Paulus realizing Stalingrad wasn’t going his way.

The Navalny reference is not amusing. Not sure what you’re making fun of but no need to try to make this hero into a joke.

Sorry if that flew over your head, but the point was that Navalny was murdered and if there are any spirits among us, maybe it was him trying to grab the attention of a country gone wrong.

Aeroflot has always been an adventure. I took my window seat on one memorable flight several years ago and the aisle seat popped up. My translator, a nice young lady, settled into that aisle seat a moment later and reminded me to fasten my seat belt. I asked her, what’s the point? The seats weren’t bolted to the floor.

The Navalny reference was in stunningly poor taste as you compared him to a “demon” (per the alleged statement made by a passenger).
