Entitled Southwest Airlines Passenger Demands New Flight

An entitled Southwest Airlines passenger in Nashville demanded rebooking despite visible signs of intoxication and no flight availability. When he did not get his way, things went downhill fast.

Intoxicated Southwest Airlines Passenger Missed His Flight, Then Became Irate When Southwest Refused To Rebook Him

Bodycam footage from Nashville International Airport (BNA) shows airport police approaching a man settling his tab at an airport bar. The police ask for his ID and say they received reports that he was yelling and irate. Combative from the start, the man handed over his ID but refused to answer any questions.

He was permitted to walk over to his gate–a Southwest flight to Milwaukee (MKE)–but the gate had already closed (and he probably would not have been let on anyway since he exhibited signs of intoxication).

Not surprisingly, he was very upset, so much so that the Southwest gate agent went from being willing to book him the following day to denying him boarding altogether and refusing to rebook him.

Not to excuse this guy at all, but I find it so annoying that if you miss a flight you are considered a “trespasser” on the secure side of the airport. I hate that language and I don’t think it is constructive. But this guy certainly was not constructive in his anger and intoxication. Police tried to lead him out of the airport, but he continued to resist.

He asked police officers, “Do you work for Southwest Airlines?!” several times and demanded he be taken to a Southwest counter for rebooking. But with Southwest already having made clear that he would not be rebooked, the police refused and told him he had to leave.

Once he flatly refused to leave, he was handcuffed and arrested. Outside, he refused to cooperate and was thrown to the ground by police officers before being placed in the back of a car.

Another reminder that raising your voice and being boisterous rarely gets you what you want in life…

I don’t understand. The police has never accepted to get involved when clients punch, shove, threaten or hurl hate language at me at work.

BNA actually offers gate passes to non-passengers to get drunk at their bars and hear their lousy cover bands.

Note the t-shirt he’s wearing with an image of an assault gun, always a brilliant look when flying.

Considering when I was at MKE a couple of years ago, they were selling Drink Wisconsably shirts in the airport, I think if he had waited he could have gotten some alcohol at his destination.

Was that t-shirt motif the smartest choice to wear flying? No.

When you show up drunk looking like the son of the Unibomber don’t expect to be welcomed. Anywhere.

Nothing like implied threats while looking like the Michigan Militia kicked you out for your crystal meth habit to garner sympathy.

A MAGA bro giving his best to America. A true patriot. It’s ok, “he was just a tourist peacefully visiting the Nashville Airport.”

What evidence can you show that he is MAGA – one can also say he is part of the liberal machine that is being encouraged by the Leaders of the DP to incite violence in the street & elsewhere

The system worked. He didn’t get on the plane and spent a night in the Nashville freebie hotel where he belonged!

Since everyone else is making it a political thing, instead of a stupid drunk person thing, so will I.

The Democrats did nothing but teach America’s youth they were entitled to what they wanted, when they wanted it, and demanding everything was the way to handle life in general.

Because of the Democratic party and its elected members (I’m looking at you, Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden) the younger generations were taught it’s okay to lie, steal, and gas light to get what you want, apparently including a flight out of Nashville.. There’s no personal responsibility or accountability in anyone who isn’t a Boomer, because it all began when Clinton told all his lies to stay out of trouble after having sex with Lewinsky (and probably others) in the oval office, and it’s never let up.

This guy is merely exhibiting the behavior he was taught by the Democratic Party since the 1990s.

Hilarious. Blaming the Democrats; that’s rich. Let’s see – current prez is a convicted felon, and became president so he could avoid jail basically. And is leading our control into the toilet……

Assuming the subject of this post actually could read and maybe vote, I’m sure he voted for Trump…..

I don’t condone what the man did but if you want to stop drunks on planes, get rid of all the alcohol outlets in the airports. They encourage drinking only so they can get more tax dollars. Trying to shame the man for his looks and clothing is pathetic as well. Of course an arrest can never be completed until they throw a person on the ground.
