A Spirit Airlines A320 was not the only plane hit by a bullet yesterday in Port Au Prince, Haiti: a closer inspection revealed a JetBlue aircraft was also hit.

Bullet Hole Found On JetBlue Plane After Return From Port Au Prince, Haiti

Earlier, I reported that a Spirit Airlines flight was riddled with bullets while attempting to land in Port Au Prince, Haiti (PAP). The Airbus A320neo aircraft was forced to abort landing and divert to Santiago, Dominican Republic. A flight attendant was grazed with a bullet and multiple bullet holes were found both inside the cabin and on the aircraft fuselage.

In light of the incident, JetBlue, American, and Spirit–the three US carriers serving Haiti–have suspended all service to the country.

While JetBlue was thought to have escaped any damage, a post-flight inspection, after JetBlue flight 634 landed in New York (JFK) Monday morning, revealed that it too had been hit.

While no issues were reported while on the ground or departing Port Au Prince, a post-flight inspection revealed the aircraft exterior had been struck with a bullet. The picture above, shared with Live And Let’s Fly, purportedly shows the fuselage damage.

JetBlue 935 departed at the crack of dawn, leaving JFK at 6:01 am and arriving into PAP at 9:54. It then returned to New York operating as JetBlue 634, departing at 10:54 am and arriving at 2:58 pm. Crews are not permitted to remain in Haiti.

JetBlue said:

“We are actively investigating this incident in collaboration with relevant authorities. Our top priority remains the safety and well-being of our customers and crewmembers. Due to the ongoing civil unrest in Haiti, we have made the decision to suspend all flights to and from the country through December 2.”

Toussaint Louverture International Airport remains under gunfire as a gang-fueled crisis continues in the Haitian captial.

Solution is to stop civilian flights from the U.S. Government planes can be used to return the illegal aliens .

The solution, it seems to me, is to send in an international force and restore order there and decapitate every gang member, starting with Jimmy Chérizier, then hang him from the town square as a warning that there is a new sheriff town.

Agree 100% but then you will have some moron claim human rights and that you cannot do what you just proposed. Look at most of the crazy countries in the world today. If someone did what you suggested very early, they would have cut the evil soon enough to not get way too far. But unfortunately people just let them grow.

    Matt,

The three US carriers serving PAP are JetBlue, American and JetBlue? Seems like only two are serving PAP.

I was making reference to your text in paragraph three:
“In light of the incident, JetBlue, American, and JetBlue–the three US carriers serving Haiti–have suspended all service to the country.”
        You left off NK.
