Review: SilverKris Business Class Lounge (SIN T2)

Just a few paces from the underwhelming KrisFlyer Gold Lounge is a very nice SilverKris Lounge in Singapore Changi Terminal 2. Here’s my SilverKris Business Class Lounge review.

Entrance is reserved for business class passengers on Singapore Airlines or other Star Alliance carriers. The lounge is dimly lit, naturally creating a quiet and relaxed environment. Seating is available for at least 150, with convenient power outlets located throughout the lounge.

A large buffet offers a variety of food from around the world. I visited the lounge during breakfast hours and was pleased at the selection of hot and cold items. Western breakfast? No problem. Eggs and pancakes, cereal, breads, and cold cuts were all available. Eastern breakfast? No problem. Indian, Singaporean, Japanese, and Chinese options were available.

Coffee wasn’t great, but machines dispensed the drink of your choice. Tea, alcohol and soft drinks were also available.

Shower rooms were available, though unfortunately the rooms had no toilets. An attendant monitored the bathroom, offering paper towels. Amenities were available beside the sink.

Finally, the lounge featured a small work area with open desks as well as Apple iMacs.

CONCLUSION

With bathrooms and a wider selection of food, this lounge is much better than the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge nearby. If you’re traveling in Star Alliance business class, don’t miss stopping by this lounge.

That’s a great lounge. Fantastic food offerings and beautifully presented. Changi is already bursting with orchids everywhere you look, but it’s always lovely in there too.

Can I use the lounge when I arrive in Singapore – or only on departure? I’m flying into Singapore in the suites- very excited!

Only on departure, but you have access to an even better lounge — the Private Room. Enjoy!

It’s called the SilverKris Lounge not KrisFlyer.
