Earlier today I wrote about the new lie-flat business class seat that will appear on La Compagnie’s new A321neos. The seats have now been revealed.
La Compagnie just posted the following image on Instagram:
Thus, we now have our answer. The new seats will be by Rockwell Collins Diamond seats arranged in a 2-2 configuration. The beds are 76 inches long (1.92 meters) and mattress pads will be provided.
We’ve also learned that the new seats will be provisioned with Zodiac Rave in-flight-entertainment systems:
This will be in addition to the ViaSat-2 in-flight wi-fi system that will provide internet speeds equivalent of 4G.
The first delivery of the new Airbus A321neo is expected in April 2019 and the second by September 2019.
CONCLUSION
I look forward to trying La Compagnie once the new seats are delivered. If the airline can also enhance its soft product, it might have a real winner. For $1,600 round-trip, you really cannot beat the price.

I wonder if La Compagnie will ever expand to destinations such as Washington or Boston in the future. On the one hand, it could be profitable to do more transatlantic routes in an all business class configuration (as I do think that there is a market for low cost, business class), but on the other hand, since the tickets are relatively cheap and there aren’t that many seats on the plane, I can’t image that they’re making much profit to even be able to expand to more destinations.
Groundbreaking.
What is the advantage of Zodiac RAVE over Panasonic eX3?
No doubt! The seats they are running with now are a no go…. But lie flat for $800 bucks and I’m more than interested.
