Get ready for a good laugh.
It seems a woman was kicked (well, dragged) off a United Express flight for refusing to place her dog in a pet carrier. Police come onboard to remove her and she went crazy, hurling profanities and initially refusing to get up from her seat until she received a full refund from United for her ticket.
She proceeds to call the cop a “louse” for touching her dog and warns she is going to sue “the country” for the incident.
Minutes later we hear her shrieking on the jetway, as the videographer, who dubbed his video the Flight of Cujo (after Stephen King’s rabid fictional dog), giggles. You probably will too.
But perhaps the funniest part of the video is that after all is said is done, the old man in the seat next to her finally decides to get off, after pondering for a few minutes whether he wanted to leave his companion to deal with her own problems and enjoy a quiet flight by himself or join her.
Always United…Read more here.
“Louse” – oooooh SLAM!
Wow. The only time I’ve seen someone travel with their dog outside the carrier is on JetBlue Mint. Luckily that passenger was in a throne seat so after the plane took off, he closed his suite and let the dog run around the suite. During takeoff/landing, though, the dog was inside the carrier.
I wouldn’t call her a lady at all given her treatment of security and flight attendants.
I am currently sitting right next to a person on a United flight IAH-CLE in Business First who looks like a carbon copy of yours…i quickly checked his initials on the upgrade list but unfortunately it wasn’t you :'(
What these airline personnel have to deal with !! I hope they do put this woman in jail – with her dog
That guy was German too
Wonder who got the battlefield upgrade after they deplaned.
I see Rhapsody magazine. Looks like they’re in 1CD on an ERJ or CRJ.
After viewing the video one thing did come to mind. The couple was flying on an RJ145 (possibly a CRJ200) and seated in the first row of the cabin. Now it is impossible to put the dog case (with the dog in it) under the seat in front, since there is no seat in front. Where would the dog case have gone during takeoff and landing? Would the crew have taken it to the lav in the back of the plane? Or put it into one of the tiny overheads? They could not have kept it in front with them as their floor space must be kept clear.
So while I don’t condone the tantrum this woman threw, I can understand why she’d want to hold her dog on her lap during take off (and landing). More obviously, UAX should never have put her into a front row seat where there was no place to stow the pet.
