Three hours in the Moonimaa Lounge inside the domestic terminal of Male Airport in the Maldives was more than enough.
There’s nothing wrong with the lounge…it served its purpose just fine. I just wouldn’t get here early. Access for my wife and I was included in the outrageously-priced domestic tickets we were required to purchase from Male (MLE) to Kooddoo (GKK), where a boat would take us to the Park Hyatt. My Priority Pass card also would have allowed access or you can buy admission at the door for a rate of GBP20 for every two hours.
The lounge had plenty of guests, but never got so crowded as to be unbearable. Electrical outlets are sparse, though, so stake one out early if you need one.
A kid’s center in the rear of the lounge offers a dedicated area for the little ones to play around.
Serena Spa, a spa chain operating in India, the Seychelles, Spain, Singapore, and the Madlives offers paid treatments.
Showers and restrooms are available, though the showers did not look all that clean:
A buffet offers non-alcoholic beverages (remember, you’re in the Maldives) as well as hot and cold food.
I had some scrambled eggs with watermelon and a cappuccino while my wife had a salad with tuna fish.
Internet is available, though you have to register via a kiosk. Speeds were very slow.
CONCLUSION
Again, nothing against this lounge – you can see it has something for everyone. Perhaps I was just lounged out or anxious to get to my resort, but this is a lounge you should only visit if you need to.

Did you know the cost of the transfer beforehand? Did you knowingly pay it? Do you think that the cost of the transfer flight should be free? When you booked the hotel did you ask about the transfer flight’s cost?
You agreed to pay for it. Don’t bitch.
I can do what I want, but yes, I knew what I was getting into.
