A man was captured on camera relieving himself in an airport gate area as shocked passengers stared in disbelief.
The popular Instagram account PassengerShaming shared the video yesterday, which has quickly amassed over 250,000 views:

A few people believe the man was emptying a water bottle, but that certainly does not appear to be the case to me.
All the press outlets that have covered this have failed to name the airport this allegedly took place in, but I have a pretty good hunch it was Moscow Domodedovo (DME). Note the distinct blue chairs in the video. I recalled those from my flight through Moscow several years ago and sure enough, a Google image search shows that DME certainly has these chairs.
Now that alone may not be enough to conclusively say this happened in Russia, but that’s my bet. The video is undated and could have happened years ago, but that’s not really the point.
Whether he was sick or whether alcohol was at play is immaterial, considering there were likely restrooms nearby. And he looks like he’s just relaxing, not overcome with an infirmity.
What should happen to someone who so flagrantly acts in a disgusting way? At the very least, he should have been charged with indecent exposure.
But what would you do if you encountered a similar situation? Just stare? Pull out your phone and start recording? For better or for worse, that’s what I’d do. Who knows how unstable someone is who just unzips their pants and relieves themselves in a crowded airport terminal with children nearby?
I’m disgusted, but it’s just another reminder of what you may expect when traveling in 2020…
