Another week, another nasty fight at Miami International Airport, which we might as well dub the Miami Airport Flight Club. This time, apparently, it was not over seat assignments, but over masks and a continuing feud that began on a flight from Chicago.
Miami Airport Fight Club: Another Nasty Brawl In Gate Area That Began On Southwest Flight
According to a witness, two women got into a verbal altercation onboard a Southwest Airlines flight from Chicago Midway (MDW) to Miami (MIA). The fight then continued on the ground in Miami.
I could give you a play-by-play of the fight, but perhaps it is better to just watch the videos below or close your eyes and listen to the exchange.
From another angle and with context:
My favorite line from the exchange. A man yells, “You’re making a fool of yourself!” to which a woman replies, “No, he’s not he’s defending himself.” In these sorts of situations, you defend yourself by running in the opposite direction…
Alcohol was thought to be in play (though Southwest has still not re-introduced alcohol onboard) and the hair extensions were weaponized to inflict maximum damage (one Reddit user asked what hairport is this?).
Southwest Airlines and Miami International Airport have not offered any comment on the incident, which allegedly took place May 5th.
The fight comes just a week after another nasty brawl in Miami that saw multiple people fighting it out over standby seats.

CONCLUSION
We’ve seen a pair of very nasty brawls at Miami Airport over the last week. Hopefully these will not become a weekly occurrence…
Is it a coincidence that both events of fights in Miami included a flight to and from Chicago? Classy people!!!!
BLM
C’mon Matthew, you know better than this. You don’t talk about Miami Airport Fight Club.
How does BLM have any respect for movement with this common place behavior.., and their offspring will only perpetuate the same. Good Lord help us! This goes for any ethnicity. Disgusting.
Add in NYC and you’d have the perfect trifecta of a triangle of trashiest flights to avoid
@Chase: I don’t think Miami should be included. The two incidents were not caused by Miami people. One flight was going to and the other was coming from Chicago. Miami has a huge Latin influence, people are more laid back and do not get into trash like that.
There does appear to be that common Chicago connection…
Outside of Asia, I’ve actually never seen adult passengers get into a live physical altercation with other passengers at the gate. They do happen elsewhere, but I’ve just not seen them except on videos.
@Matthew: If you pay me to live in Chicago I will pass.
I feel like cops were just like….. “nah” As the kids say, ratchet
I bet Spirit was relieved that their name was not involved in this brawl from Miami.
TBH my biggest issue with traveling or just going out anymore isn’t the virus but the tempers and behavior of people. Too many don’t think rules or laws apply to them. Some are actively looking for conflict or maybe even hits on youtube/social media.
I would hate to have any kind of job involving dealing with the public face to face.
I told someone a few months ago that I think the world needs a vacation month that is just resting, relaxing, having fun and ignoring all politics and other stressful stuff.
Doing what they do best.
Just raise airfares to $20 above Greyhound or Amtrak.
Diversity, inclusion, tolerance, under-represented, people “who look like me”. I have no idea why any of those words would come to mind.
I marched with Ralph Abernathy and Dr. King and now I’m so embarrassed. Reminds me of that 2011 incident at National Zoo.

They don’t represent BLM. They represent what is in all races; Undisciplined, Disrespectful and No Guidance.
For the most part stay away from the ones with the yarn as their hair
Ratchet.
One has to ask and then give credit to whoever did their hair! I mean dayumm! Those locks held on right & tight! Unbeweaveable!
YE YE CATFIGHT!…….lot of similarities between the people involved in this one and the last one
If the media could find a way to blame this on racism, they would.
How does BLM have anything to do with this? Completely separate issues! The fact that you are trying to make this about BLM and race is very telling.
You have to give credit, where credit is due. The woman with the blonde weave owes a debt of gratitude to her hairdresser! That weave held up like no other!
It’s telling because these are likely the same people who ‘marched’ and ‘peacefully protested’ last year demanding their lives be ‘respected’ when they don’t even respect their own. The hypocrisy is breathtaking.
Just another day in Miami.
@Santastico
Chicago doesn’t want you either, their standards are too high for you.
Good to see low key racists like ss, JGRL, Joe, JoEllen, Trevor, etc posting on here.
In Miami there is a slow response by Security, they should have been there quickly but of course way to slow.
This is what happens when you weren’t raised right. When you weren’t taught morals, manners or just plain decency! These people act like savages!! They have No respect for themselves or anyone else. It is disgusting how trash has damaged what used to be good.
Jase you are so right!!! It’s getting old !!
This has nothing to do with BLM. There are lower classes in all colors and types. But, what’s up with the blonde long dreads…just weird shit. But, key point, whites have their idiot rednecks and blacks do too. Do not lump people into racial stereotypes. ( p.s. some people may come across as redneck to others, but there are some fine people among them..) Grow up people. This has been the worst tourism year for the caribbean islands ever, because everyone is acting like f f’n idiot. self centered people seem to be empowered.
