Off to Doha for Qatar A350 Inaugural!

Matthew Klint Posted onJanuary 14, 2015 1 Comment

One upside to my job is that I am able to travel on a whim – my office, being a telephone and laptop computer, is portable so when the right opportunity arises, I can take it. I figured the first commercial flight of Airbus’ latest aircraft was worth a trip.

My journey to Doha is not exactly quick – I will fly first to the Kingdom of Bahrain via Kuwait City on United Airlines, a country I have yet to set foot in, spend a night and half-day there, then continue on Cathay Pacific’s  5th Freedom route to Dubai. From Dubai I fly to Doha on Qatar, overnight, then fly to Frankfurt on the A350 inaugural flight on Thursday morning.

Frankfurt will always be considered a hometown and my wife, still acclimating to life in Los Angeles, has provided a long shopping list of German products for me to pick up while there.

So a busy week ahead, but long layovers and wi-fi equipped airplanes will mean a full week of work as well.
