Wild video showcases an out-of-control woman attacking gate agents and police officers in Orlando, Florida after being denied boarding on a Spirit Airlines flight.
Out-Of-Control Passenger Attacks Gate Agent + Police After Spirit Airlines Denied Boarding In Orlando
A passenger named Rachel was trying to fly from Orlando (MCO) to San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU) after the death of a family member. It isn’t clear why she was initially denied boarding, but police body cam footage shows her pleading with gate agents to let her on the flight and then attacking them…and later police when she was denied boarding.
Police officers approached her and tried to make it easy. Whatever it was, she wasn’t going to fly, but if she had just walked away, there would have been no arrest, and she could probably have been rebooked to travel the following day.
But instead, she refused to calm down, approaching the counter even though it was futile and first begging then demanding that she needed to fly. Next, she knocked over a computer, struck an employee, and later struck a police officer.
She was arrested and while I will not repeat the profanity-laced tirades that she launched at the police officers, it is a pathetic spectacle to behold. The video, which is NSFW, is below. While the incident took place in August 2023, it was just posted two days ago:
Look, I have some compassion here…if she did just lose a family member. But even death does not justify attacking other people, especially staff members of the airline you are trying to fly or police officers that appear to me are trying to help. This was an absolutely needless escalation.
I post this video not to ridicule Rachel, though her behavior is worthy of ridicule, but as yet another reminder that it simply is not worthwhile to engage when you are told you are denied boarding. Even if you are wrongly denied boarding, trying to argue with the people who are not letting you onboard the plane is only going to make a difficult matter worse.
Instead, walk away. Look for another agent or pick up the phone and call the carrier. You will rarely get what you want in life by being violent and throwing temper tantrums. All Rachel ended up with was three charges against her and a night in an Orlando jail cell:
- resisting arrest
- battery on an officer
- disorderly conduct
I hope she has found the peace she so desperately needs…
Isn’t this a two year old story or am I wrong? I seem to recall reading it on Daily Mail or the like recently.

For the love of God! Please help keep Spirit afloat? If they go under these urban, cave-dwellers will be forced to seek alternative airlines. When you offer bus-fare type flights, this is passenger deomgraphic that you get.
Danke David. I should pay more attention.
