Picture of the Week #10: Airport Murals at Denver International Airport

Matthew Klint Posted onJune 27, 2010November 14, 2023 3 Comments

I stopped doing the Picture of the Week feature a few months ago, but I’m bringing it back, at least for today, to showcase this piece of airport artwork:

Looks like some sort of Chavez propoganda to me, but it’s actually a mural at Denver International Airport. I stumbled upon the picture while reading a UK Telegraph story entitled, “The world’s strangest, weirdest and scariest airports.”

I did some further research on the murals at Denver and stumbled upon a treasure trove of conspiracy websites about DIA and its artwork and architecture.

Follow the link above to check out some of the other “interesting” exhibits at Denver International, including a Masonic dedication plaque to the “New World Airport Commission,” an organization that does not exist…officially. Don’t forget, the airport is shaped like a swastika!

Spooky…Invalid request error occurred.

And please know, if it wasn’t obvious above, I was being facetious.

Keep an eye out for my art historical point of view on these paintings. While I tend to agree that the paintings are a bit unsettling for an airport, people clearly don’t do their homework before coming up with insane claims.

Oh and the airport is evil and phallic too….coming from a guy who calls himself the “Third Eagle of the Apocalypse” and “Co-Prophet of the End Times”
