We spent about 90 minutes in the SkyTeam lounge in Dubai prior to our Saudia First Class flight to Riyadh. The lounge was comfortable, wi-fi fast, and food decent. It’s also the best Priority Pass Lounge in Dubai (DXB).
Our Saudia First Class tickets gave us access to the lounge, but we could have accessed the lounge no matter what airline or class we were flying using our Priority Pass cards.
The lounge is open 24/7 though Priority Pass members only have access between 2am and 8pm. Once you clear security in Terminal 1, take a train to Concourse D then follow the signs to the lounge.
Note the Qatar Airways sign was blacked out!

SkyTeam Lounge Dubai Food + Drink
Let’s start with food and drink since I had not eaten since breakfast and was hungry. The lounge was fairly crowded when we arrived and thus the food was also picked over and slowly replenished. That said, I enjoyed a plate of beef ragout with a green salad. The lounge contained a great selection of hot and cold items, though, including several salads, mezze, and hot food from East and West.
A drink station provided soft drinks, tea and coffee (including Arabic coffee). Furthermore, a separate bar area offered a variety of beer, wines and hard liquor.
I also loved the live plants set into the walls around the buffet area.
SkyTeam Lounge Dubai Restroom + Shower
The lounge has a trio of separate shower rooms as well as a large bathroom. The bathroom was kept extremely clean. Unfortunately, the shower rooms do not have bathrooms.
SkyTeam Lounge Dubai Seating
The lounge is quite spacious, with ample seating for at least 300. Even though the lounge felt a bit crowded, there was enough seats for everyone to have two chairs.
SkyTeam Lounge Dubai Business Center
My wife sent me a document to print while I was in the lounge. Dissapointingly, neither printer worked. One had connection the issues and the second had a toner out of ink. Both printers were initially out of paper. I asked a lounge attendant if there was a new printer and instead was asked to email the document to him and he would print it at the front desk. Although I sent the document to correct email address, he never received it. 72 hours later I received a bounce back notification saying his inbox was full.
SkyTeam Lounge Dubai Periodicals
Newspapers and magazines were available throughout the lounge.
SkyTeam Lounge Dubai Prayer Room
I don’t have any pictures of the prayer room because there was a man laying on prayer rug in the middle of the room snoring loudly. Side comment — is that tolerated in Islam? It seems like every time I encounter an airport prayer room there are men sleeping in them…
CONCLUSION
My biggest takeaway from the lounge was the man with four wives incident, but that’s a side issue. In writing this review, I suppose Ben and I could have each guested in half the family using our Priority Pass cards. Oh well…

If you were bothered by person sleeping at prayer room, you should go to mosque in a muslim predominant country. Often you can see someone sleeping (outside of prayer’s time).
Traveller who doesn’t have money to stay at an inn would also choose mosque to sleep and rest.
I wasn’t bothered by the sleeping itslef, though it semed a bit rude if others wanted to pray. I was annoyed by the ridiculously loud snoring.
I felt the tables were too tiny. Two people barely have enough space for a plate and drink each. Otherwise the lounge was fine. I do wish SkyTeam would up their lounge game a bit, especially considering the first class lounges available in Dubai for ME3.
A larger table would have defintely been nice. Ben and I each took our own.
