Slide Your Way Between Flights at Singapore Changi Airport

a large metal tube with people in the backgroundFrom the airport that brought you movie theaters, a rooftop swimming pool, and a butterfly garden comes a new amusement to pass your time between flights: Singapore’s longest slide.

The 40-foot jumbo slide in terminal three, aptly dubbed Slide@T3, is not only the longest slide in Singapore, but the longest slide at any airport in the world. For every $22 you spend at the airport, you can receive tokens good for two rides on the slide.

The slide is not for the faint of heart: you travel at speeds of up to 19 feet/second. For those who get clammy hands just reading this, a “kiddie” slide is available–for free–two levels down that is only 1.5 stories high.

That’s pretty cool! I’ll keep an eye out for the slide on Friday.
