Sometimes all flight attendants or law enforcement officers need to do is step back and let the other passengers handle the problematic one. In the case of a belligerent drunk woman on Spirit Airlines flight, it was a feisty senior citizen who so smoothly put the passenger in her place.
Drunk Spirit Airlines Passenger Is Eviscerated By Feisty Senior Citizen
The incident went down on NK128, a Spirit Airlines redeye flight from Los Angeles (LAX) to Baltimore (BWI). A female passenger exhibited visible signs of intoxication, prompting a complaint from another passenger. Upon observation, it was determined that she was not fit to fly and was asked to leave the aircraft.
But before making the walk of shame, the unidentified passenger first opted to query the cabin over who she had offended. It is not clear if she hoped she could be voted back on the flight, but of course that is not how it works.
An undefined man offers her a terse admonition to get of the flight, but the woman responds by threatening:
“Now everybody gonna suffer.”
As View From The Wing notes, she may be referring to the policy in the post-David Dao world that problematic passengers are no longer dragged off in front of other passengers (the optics are too bad). Instead, the plane is emptied first and only then is the troublesome passenger removed.
But then the situation turns even sweeter. As she is arguing, a senior citizen wearing a bold jacket answers her:
“You out of your MF-ing mind!”
(he goes on to swear quite a bit more as he tersely condemns her)

The incident resulted in a substantial flight delay, but the situation seemed to stabilize once the older man put the younger woman in her place.
CONCLUSION
The video cuts off prematurely…we don’t know for sure how our story concludes after the feisty senior citizen put Ms. Drunk in her place, but noting the flight still departed that night, it does appear she got off the plane. Sometimes we need an older figure to tell it like it is. I don’t condone coarse language, but I suspect I would have been quite thankful for him had I been on that flight.
A red eye to Baltimore on Spirit, I suspect she may not have been the only drunk on the flight. Good on the elder for saving the night
