I stopped by The Club SEA prior to my flight from Seattle to Los Angeles and found the club somewhat crowded, but the food and beverage options were worth the stop.
The Club SEA Review (Concourse A)
Seattle has two Priority Pass lounges, both called The Club SEA, one in the A Concourse and one in the South Satellite area.
Hours + Access + Location
Access to The Club SEA is granted via Priority Pass (some airlines operating from SEA designate this lounge for use by their premium cabin passengers). It is open daily from 5:00 am to 12:00 am and is located in Concourse A, near gate A11. Proceed up the stairs or elevator to the lounge.
You can access this lounge for up to three hours prior to your flight.
Seating
After entering the lounge, there is seating on the right side and a much larger seating area in the rear of the lounge. It was quite crowded at 4:00 pm on a Saturday afternoon, but I was still able to find a seat (and the far left side of the lounge was mostly empty).
Restoroms
Restrooms are available and were clean…no showers, though.
Food + Drink
I was feeling peckish, having not eaten since breakfast, and enjoyed the nachos (tortilla chips with salsa, guacamole, and hot queso cheese), though the lobster bisque soup was decent, appreciated the salad, and even consumed a couple of meatballs. No, I doubt the quality was very good or that anything was freshly made, but I appreciated the little snack.
A selection of alcohol is complimentary, with “premium” liquor available for purchase. Canned soft drinks are available on a self-serve basis, as is water, tea, and coffee.
Luggage Storage
There is a small luggage storage facility near the entrance.
CONCLUSION
Honestly, this would not be a bad lounge to park my rear in if I was Seattle-based. The nearby United Club slightly edges it out, but The Club SEA is not bad at all.
Can’t imagine canned soda is cheaper than installing a fountain system, along with the environmental impact.
The Club is a funny concept. It seems so unnecessary in places like SEA & DFW, but when I walk in to the Club at JAX I feel like the sign may as well say “Al Safwa.”
Used this lounge instead of the United Club last time I was in SEA. Was there around breakfast time and it was really busy. Food selection wasn’t that great, but it was better than nothing.
Its barely better than waiting in the concourse while flying out of the furthest A gates… If you can find an empty chair. Definitely not worth the walk from the first batch or A gates or further. The food is not fresh so unless you’re “thirsty”, it’s a pass since it’s always crowded due to being a the only PP lounge in the main terminal. It is useful if you want ice for your reusable water bottle. Otherwise, SEA has plenty of water filling stations throughout the terminals.
The one in the S Gates is much larger and less crowded (though weirdly does not have self serve soda; you have to ask for soda at the bar). It’s also right next to the train station, so ironically is much less walking to get to than the one at the far end of the A Gates.
This is easily one of the most depressing priority pass lounges I’ve ever been to. It’s sad, dated, and always too warm. The last time I went they had no coffee, not even drip. Maybe this author hasn’t been two the two far superior lounges, the Delta SkyClub and then the best and newest lounge in Seatac, the Centurion.
I agree that the lounge needs some TLC. Outdated, it looks more like it belonged in the late 1980’s – 1990’s. Uninspired. It is not a very happy place in a rainy city when it is crowded inside. There are better places to hang out in the airport as well as nicer more modern lounges.
Restoroms??
Typo subheading.
This is one of the worst lounge, the food is bad as well.
I liked the nachos. What can I say?
