United Airlines Offers Hot Deals To Warm Destinations

Looking to escape the cold this spring? United Airlines has launched a “under $70 to over 70ºF” sale with fares as low as $39 one-way.

From $39 One-Way: United Airlines Offers Hot Deals To Warm Destinations

United dubs its new fare sale, book fares under $70 to destinations over 70ºF. Think Phoenix, Palm Springs, or Miami. Think Orlando, Las Vegas, or Orange County.

You can check out a long list of sample fares here. Sale cities include:

  • Atlanta – ATL
  • Burbank – BUR
  • Ft. Myers – RSW
  • Houston – IAH
  • Las Vegas – LAS
  • Los Angeles – LAX
  • Miami – MIA
  • New Orleans – MSY
  • Ontario – ONT
  • Orange County – SNA
  • Orlando – MCO
  • Palm Springs – PSP
  • Phoenix – PHX
  • Savannah – SAV
  • Tampa – TPA
  • West Palm Beach – PBI

Example one-way fares include:

  • Houston ⇄ Phoenix – $39
  • Chicago ⇄ Orlando – $43
  • Newark ⇄ Miami – $46
  • Denver ⇄ New Orleans – $49
  • Las Vegas ⇄ Los Angeles – $49

Tip: if you see something that looks interesting, book it. Just yesterday I was looking at $57 one-way tickets between Washington and Los Angeles ($89 for regular economy class) and decided to wait a day. Bad move…the fares tripled overnight. You snooze, you loose…even in the pandemic era. Remember that you case use FareLock to hold a fare for up to seven days (usually under $20) and you always have 24-hours to cancel your ticket, even if booked less than a week before travel.

Also note that United is not the only carrier with a fare sale. JetBlue and American Airlines are going to war in Florida and Southwest Airlines is offering a number of $29 one-way fares.

Finally, be sure to note that United’s Basic Economy fares do not permit larger carry-on items onboard or complimentary advance seat assignments. In some cases, the difference in cost between basic economy and standard economy is less than $20.

CONCLUSION

I’m looking international for my own spring travels, but with many great fare sales and virus numbers dropping, it is a very cheap time to travel.

Are you taking advantage of the United fare sale?
