Woman Uses Overhead Vent To Dry Her Panties During Flight…

A reader recently sent me a video of a woman using the overhead vent on her flight to dry her underwear. I thought it was a joke, but turns out this really happened…allegedly for over 20 minutes!

I’ve never seen this before (and I usually blog about this sort of horrible passenger etiquette), but apparently this incident occurred two years ago on Ural Airlines flight from Antalya, a Turkish resort city, to Moscow.

After takeoff, the woman went to work, holding up her underwear to the overhead vent, oblivious to the fact that everyone was staring at her and many filming.

Apparently, everyone was so shocked they said nothing.

It isn’t clear if she took off her underwear to dry or if these were separate panties she brought onboard. Some believe that the underwear did not belong to her, but a child, though there is no indication she was traveling with a child. Others speculate there was a very rough takeoff…

Ugh.

Whenever there is an etiquette question like this, we are left with the question of how we would react if we were in a similar situation. If it were me, I suspect I would have been equally dumbfounded and said nothing. It does surprise me, however, that this went on for 20-minutes. Is service so bad on Ural that flight attendants did not make an appearance for that long or also just decided to ignore it? I tend to think it was only for a minute or two, not that it makes the behavior less egregious.

Why are we so shocked at this Russian woman’s behavior? At least she was only attempting to dry her underwear and not her vagina and pubic hair by putting that up to the air flow. Before the year 2030, we might even see that on YouTube.

This video is so old and it was all over the news back a couple of years ago.

Probably no flight attendant that saw it was likely the passenger was in coach. It is easy to go twenty minutes without seeing any flight attendant in coach

The number of men stuck in some apartment right now. Clearly Matthew has researched that the word panties is top 25 for hits. I have no problem with his intelligence on this. I suggest Matthew visit Brazil. Not only would you not worry about a woman doing this nonsense there, people take multiple showers a day. Hygiene is king in Brazil. Love that country endlessly.

This has to be fake. No flight attendant would allow this no matter what country they are flying from.
