A short TikTok video claims a woman stood up for the “ENTIRE” 7-hour flight, but later clarified that she did sit down when the seatbelt light was on. A video montage captures her standing while the lights are on and standing while the lights are off. She does not appear to be stretching, but actually standing and watching a movie from her position in the aisle.

While I could see where this might be distracting and why she would need to take a seat when beverage and meal carts were in the aisle, I’m not sure why so many people seem to be bothered by this.
I won’t totally embrace the “mind your own business” because, let’s face it: even when the seatbelt light was off, had there been unexpected turbulence, she could have seriously injured herself or others (and the impact on other people being the reason why “butt out” will not be convincing to some folks).
But I would also speculate that there was a cost/benefit analysis at play and probably a health issue that made the risk of turbulence-related injury a lesser problem than remaining seated. I have a friend who has fibromyalgia. It is impossible for that person to sit for any extended period…simply impossible.
And if this woman is experiencing that or something similar, I only have compassion for her…being unable to sit due to the intense pain that results is not an easy thing to process.
So I say leave her alone…no harm, no foul. The risk of her causing injury to others in the case of turbulence is outweighed if she has a medical issue that makes it painful to sit for extended periods.

You need a new title for your blog. “Live and let live/fly” means not worrying about what other people and what you can’t control, but instead being more carefree. This blog is the opposite of that. Seems most of your posts are just complaining about other people’s behavior. The pettiness doesn’t match the carefree title.
Perhaps,she was avoiding unwanted touch by an undesirable seatmate.

Sounds like someone who has experienced the Torquemada experience of slimline seats.
So I’ll be contrary. Let’s not encourage this. Perhaps she had a physical issue or a smelly seatmate, and if it is no bother to others, fine. But the aisle is a passageway and if a number of people do it will become a nuisance. Also with the cabin pressure the return flow of blood in your legs can cause swelling.
I tweaked my back coming home from SE Asia once and I spent most of the flight standing (although I tried to stay out of the way by the rear lavs, away from the galley
Since it was an overnight and it would have been weird standing overlooking sleeping pax at my aisle seat). I read a book. Nobody cared. FAs were nice, I let them know why I was there and they provided snacks and beverages to me. You-do-you is the best motto to live by when traveling.

This is less odd than the crew turning off the lights and making everyone close the windows to sleep on a 7h day flight.

I agree with Matthew on this one. There are a lot of people who have stuff going on that we know nothing about. And standing for an hour, let alone 7, is not something anyone really enjoys doing.
I suppose it’s not a big deal if she’s not impeding the FA’s or blocking people trying to get to the toilet. Who knows what might be wrong with her physically? But I think it would be unnerving to be sitting across the aisle and having her stand that close to me for 7 hours.
