World’s Largest Lufthansa Lounge Opens July 5th in Frankfurt

Matthew Klint Posted onJune 27, 2011 Leave a Comment

Coming soon to Terminal B at Frankfurt International Airport: a new Senator Lounge that will also become the largest Lufthansa lounge in the world.

Today I received the following e-mail from Lufthansa:

Dear Mr. Klint,

Here is some terrific news for you: on 5 July 2011, in departure area B at Frankfurt Airport, a new Senator Lounge opens – as the largest Lufthansa lounge in the world!

With a floor area of 1,800 square metres, it certainly gives you plenty of room to relax and feel at home. You can treat yourself, for example, to a relaxing massage or a beauty treatment in the first ‘Senator SPA – in cooperation with Babor’, or lie back in one of the comfortable Relax Chairs and enjoy the impressive view of the airport apron. And if you want to freshen up, there are 10 high-quality shower rooms available.

In the new ‘City Lights Bar’, designed with the assistance of Senator members, the bartender will serve you your drink with a smile. The special comforts of the new Senator Lounge are completed by established services such as TVs, WLAN access, a bistro area serving delicious snacks and a work area.

Why not drop by soon – we look forward to welcoming you in the new lounge.

Yours sincerely,

Hubert Frach
Vice President Marketing
Deutsche Lufthansa AG

As Hunter mentioned, wi-fi will be free in all Senator Lounges starting on 01 July and as I have blogged about before, the Senator B Star Alliance Gold Lounge at FRA already has the best pasta in Frankfurt, so I am looking forward to an even better lounge experience next month. Kudos to Lufthansa for their perpetual innovation.

Just to note, the spa treatments will not be free.
