If you find yourself in San Salvador (SAL) with a long layover and a Priority Pass and, the AeroConnections VIP Lounge is not a bad place to pass the time.

AeroConnections VIP Lounge SAL Review

The lounge is open 24/7 and access is available to Priority Pass members (as well as Copa and Iberia premium cabin passengers). Alternatively, a day pass is available for USD35. You’ll find it airside next to gate 5. SAL is a small airport with a single concourse with shops, restaurants, and bars on both sides.

Seating includes tables and chairs, though if you want a snooze there is a quiet room in the back with recliner chairs.

I had some work to get done and thankfully the wi-fi worked well. Plug are sparse, but I found one and plugged in.

In the pandemic era, food and beverages are available, but not self-service. Choices include a a salad bar, freshly-cut fruit, sandwiches, bread, muffins, and mixed nuts. Although there were soup and hot food stations, nothing was available.

The bar included fruit juice and coffee as well as a selection of wine and spirits.

CONCLUSION

The lounge was clean and comfortable and greatly beats waiting for your flight in the depressing gate areas at SAL.

Just curious but what other lounges are available there, if any?

How did it compare to Avianca Sala VIP?

I preferred the Avianca lounge, which had some really delicious chicken tortilla soup and had a more modern appearance.

I think it is sexist that you only get photos of the men’s bathroom.

Do I really need to see the urinals?
