LOT Polish Airlines has announced that tickets purchased today and tomorrow are 50% off for travel that begins in the first quarter of 2010. This includes all seats, on all flights, in all cabins.
What is not made explicit is that fuel surcharges and taxes are not discounted. Still, r/t Business Class tickets from the U.S. to Europe can be purchased for about $2K and Economy tickets to Israel are as low as $650.
I flew on LOT twice last year (in Europe) and thought their service and food was above average. Their lounges in Warsaw leave a lot to be desired, but they include internet stations and alcohol so I know many would make the argument that they beat United’s Red Carpet Clubs.
I prefer to fly United, unless I am using my miles, but for those who need to travel to Europe early next year, take a look at what LOT has to offer.
