To Charlotte, where a man from Florida went ballistic over his “girls” (dogs)..or something like that…in a meltdown that included cursing out a woman in a wheelchair and screaming about how horrible American Airlines is as his husband desperately tried to silence him.
Man Has Meltdown in Charlotte, Lambasting American Airlines And Cursing Out Woman In Wheelchair
Video first shared on TikTok does not clue us into how the brouhaha stated in the first place, but we do know it was about his “girls” (which we later found out were his dogs). It occurred at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT), a hub for American Airlines, at the boarding gate for a flight to Fort Lauderdale (FLL).
Dustin Miller, 42, is captured screaming, “American Airlines have f*cked us over!” as his husband, Anthony Thorne, 40, looked on. Thorne then tried to pull husband away, trying to calm him down by reminding him, “You’re not going to get on the flight and see your girls,” if his yelling continued.
Miller began yelling at the top of his lungs about how American Airlines had “screwed” them as his husband continued to try to reason with him to calm down.
Things appeared to calm down but then a woman in a wheelchair (who herself had a dog) uttered something to Miller who respond by screaming at her:
“F*ck off, b*tch!'”
The video cuts off.
We don’t know if the couple made it onboard the AA flight to Florida, but we’ve reached out to them for comment as well as to American Airlines.

I’m just speculating here, but Miller looks sounds intoxicated to me…perhaps alcohol or dugs were involved? Kudos to Thorne for doing his best to calm Miller down…

This looks like a poorly camp SNL sketch! Bowen would have done it so much better. I hope he finds he’s on a no fly list and has his AA account cancelled. I imagine he didn’t get his upgrade or was downgraded or they noticed he was intoxicated and said he couldn’t fly until later on in the day when he had sobered up. Clearly the partner indicated they had the ability to fly, but husband was ruining those chances.
Are passenger rants increasing or it it just all of us with iphones/adriods etc? I travel a lot and the only meltdown I’ve ever witnessed was a non-rev passenger not getting a seat on a plane she desperately wanted on HKG-NRT. I assume her friend/family subsequently removed her from receiving that benefit in the future….

I got jammed up in a TSA pre-check line this morning because of darling pets and their clueless keepers. One fellow had a little dog in a little carrier. In and out of the scanner, in and out, they went. They were both so upset. Then came a woman with a cat in a little carrier. Same drill, only she decided to stand in the scanning booth to rearrange the kitty and re-install the animal in the little carrier. I couldn’t tell if the kitty was upset, but people in the lengthening line trying to catch pre-6 a.m. flights weren’t too delighted. Not that it mattered.
