American Airlines Flight Diverts After Woman Screams “Repent! We’re All Gonna Die!”

An American Airlines flight from Florida to California diverted in Texas after a woman began screaming to other passengers to repent and that everyone would die.

Woman Screams “Repent! We’re All Gonna Die!” On American Airlines Flight, Forcing Diversion

The outburst occurred last Wednesday, September 28, 2022, on American Airlines flight 1296 from Miami (MIA) to Los Angeles (LAX). The troubled woman showed no signs of disturbance prior to the flight or during the first two hours in the air, but suddenly burst out in prophetic warning, according to a passenger who spoke with The Daily Beast.

“It’s an early flight… so we were all kind of just working and minding our own business,” the passenger said by phone after finally getting to L.A. “All of a sudden, we heard screaming coming from the back, and a flight attendant was saying to a passenger, like, ‘Are you in danger? Is anything going on? Are you OK?’ And she said, ‘No, we’re all gonna die. Repent, repent!”

Perhaps she had a nightmare? She then went up to two passengers and made a direct plea:

“Repent, repent, we’re all gonna die!”

She then began yelling,‘”Redemption is coming! Redemption is coming!”

She did not say anything else. Flight attendants were able to restrain the woman and placed flex cuffs on her. One flight attendant asked her if she “needed” to get off the plane and when she responded affirmatively, the plane began a rapid descent into El Paso, Texas (ELP).

American Airlines did not want to speak about the incident, confirming only that a “disturbance in the cabin involving an unruly customer” occurred and that after the diversion, “Local law enforcement met the plane upon arrival and the flight has since departed with all remaining customers.”

Not only that, though. The plane was searched for bombs before it took off again.

It is not clear if the woman will be charged (but I do hope American Airlines sends her a bill for the extra fuel and any other related expenses). Surprsingly, no video or even still images have emerged from the flight.

CONCLUSION

The truth is we are all going to die. But boisterously proselytizing (if that is what she was doing) on an airplane is not okay. Hopefully, the woman will seek help.

If I was on that flight I would have fulfilled her wish and promptly dispatched her. Completely unacceptable to fly without taking her meds

I don’t know why airlines keep catering to these idiots. If you’re too sick to fly – mentally or otherwise, don’t. “I didn’t take my meds” should no longer be an excuse. No-Fly list for these whackadoos. When people start feeling the pain from acting like assholes, then maybe they’ll stop…acting like assholes.

All planes should come with an eject seat option similar to Air Force planes. Passenger acts weird, pilot pushes the button and send it away. Parachute will activate automatically, GPS locator will trigger someone to pick it up and lock it down in jail. Plane continues its route with no problem to normal people.

She is probably locked up for 2-3 days in the psychiatric ward of the county hospital in El Paso.

What a shame for Greg Abbott that airlines will now start flying psychiatric patients to Texas for assistance. Ya know, Karma. 🙂

He did so proudly boast during the debate that Texas is now up to #27 in mental health spending! Send ’em all over, and give ’em “baby supplies” too!

Plenty of mentally ill people (Californians) are willingly relocating to Texas.

I see them as refugees that are willing to do the work that few here who are established over time want to do. It’s a process for them to start to build a life in America for themselves and their families. Win/Win.

@koggerj Oh yes, I am terrified that I will be outsourced to immigrant refugees. You know, so many with fine arts backgrounds in 16th-19th century European decorative arts are coming here in droves to displace me. The horror.

HYSTERICAL. Hippocrates (5th century BC) is the first to use the term hysteria. Indeed he also believes that the cause of this disease lies in the movement of the uterus (“hysteron”). (ibid Wikipedia)

….a number of studies have shown that spending time at altitude can increase negative emotions like tension, make people less friendly, decrease their energy levels and affect their ability to deal with stress (from Google). ..Need to screen for mental and physical health.

Given the number of conditions that are recognized as mental illness, more than a few of us,regardless of race creed ,gender etc ,have a screw in need of tightening ….a read of Matthew 7:1 might be in order for some of the current posters
